The strategy chosen by Barceló Hotels & Resorts is based on monolithic brand architecture; starting with a Master Brand (Barceló Hotels & Resorts), we have defined three brand categories, which are Barceló Premium, Barceló and Barceló Comfort.

The master brand is the global brand for an international chain that comprises both city hotels focused on the business sector and vacation hotels and resorts. All of these hotels are adapted to the unique characteristics of the country or region in which they are located and maintain good standards of quality and service.

Barceló Premium is a selection of Barceló's finest hotels and resorts, whether city or vacation properties. They are outstanding for their location and the variety and quality of services and facilities on offer and because they are at the very top of the scale in the market or area in which they are located.

These vacation hotels and resorts are located in renowned international tourist destinations. Many of them are on prime beachfront while others can be found in attractive scenic inland locations. Notable for their variety of services and facilities and for their "all-inclusive" concept in the case of South America, with a lower standard than "Premium" hotels.

The city hotels are located in the central areas of big cities and are also notable for their cuisine and meeting and conference rooms.

These represent mid-scale hotels.
