Ixtapa. World-class idyllic tourist destination lying in the northeast of Mexico’s Guerrero State. It has an enviably consistent all-year-round climate, modern commercial establishments, amazing restaurants, activities and attractions. Together they form a tropical destination that offers diversity, nature, calm and an impeccable setting.
Places to See
Dolphinarium. Just a few minutes from the hotel, enjoy the fantastic and unforgettable experience of swimming with dolphins. Offering specific programmes designed for babies, children, adults and older adults.

Ixtapa Beaches:

Zihuatanejo Beaches. A beautiful bay stretching for over 8 milesand divided into 4 beaches:
Principal. Fishing port adjacent to the city centre, flanked by a walking trail.
La Madera. With gentle waves and a name that dates from colonial times.
La Ropa. Considered one of the most beautiful on the Costa Grande.
Las Gatas. Offering shallow water perfect for swimming and snorkelling, thanks to its legendary rock breakwater.
Isla de Ixtapa. A 10-minute ride in a small boat takes you to this island with four beautiful beaches, perfect for swimming, snorkelling and even diving.
Water Activities. Whether it’s diving at 100 feet or snorkelling at 10 feet, beginners and professionals will be amazed at the underwater seascapes and vast biodiversity.
Sports Fishing. Classed as the world’s second leading destination for sports fishing by specialist publications. Sailfish during most of the year, both black and blue marlin, yellow fin tuna, John Dory (a classic in the region). Game fishing, world record registered by the IGFA, International Game Fish Association. Two international championships held during the year “International Sailfish Championship” in May; “All-Release Championship” in November.
Surfing. Playa Madera, Las Escolleras, Troncones and La Saladita are some of the beaches that are perfect for this sport. Their year-round warm waters minimise the need for neoprene suits
Gastronomy
Mexican food, one of the most varied and richest in the world, is closely linked to its history after centuries of the fusion of two great cultures, with their art and the best that each culture has to offer firmly rooted in its cuisine. The diversity of climates and regions offer a great wealth and range of vegetables, legumes, fruit, meat and seafood.
Guerrero cuisine, one that has fiercely maintained its original character and close links with its origins, invites you on a trip through its lands and gastronomy by region.
The La Costa Grande region, with its traditional pozole (pork and corn) stew, its great variety of fresh fish and seafood dishes and its original tiritas, (corn tortilla strips), that will delight your senses, making the act of eating an absolute pleasure.

Whether it’s the traditional costumes at one of the craft markets, or the designer clothes at some of the many boutiques you’ll find in Ixtapa’s shopping district, you won’t be able to resist the temptation to calmly visit each of store and make the most of the opportunity to shop.
And if you’re after souvenirs, the craft markets in Ixtapa and in Zihuatanejo offer a great selection of hand-painted ceramics, hammocks, tablecloths, traditional embroidered clothing and fabrics and typical hand-painted masks from the state. And a whole number of artistic pieces from other regions in Mexico.
You’ll also find many silversmiths offering beautiful original designed pieces, created by artists from the city of Taxco Guerrero, known as Mexico’s capital of silver.
