Turkish cuisine has the privilege of being at the crossroads of the Far East and the Mediterranean, which mirrors a long and complex history of Turkish migration from the steppes of Central Asia (where they mingled with the Chinese) to Europe (where they exerted influence all the way to Vienna).

 

All these unique characteristics and history have bestowed upon Turkish cuisine a rich and varied number of dishes, which can be prepared and combined with other dishes in meals of almost infinite variety. This has led to a cuisine that is open to improvisation through development of regional styles, while retaining its deep structure, as all great works of art do. The Cuisine is also an integral aspect of culture. It is a part of the rituals of everyday life events. It reflects spirituality, in forms that are specific to it, through symbolism and practice.

Anyone who visits Turkey is sure to notice how unique the cuisine is.

Day One

Transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Check-in in the Barceló Eresin Topkapi.

Enjoy some free time to stroll around the hotel and relax in our Health Club.

Welcome dinner at Picasso restaurant.

 

Day two

Breakfast.

Morning excursion to the Spice Bazar to meet the Chef and shop for products that you will use to prepare a Traditional Turkish menu.

Lunch.

Afternoon cooking class. Learn the secrets of the use of spices in Turkisk cooking.

Dinner on your own.

 

Day three

Breakfast.

Enjoy some free time. We recommend you to visit to historical sights such as the Topkapi Palace including its kitchens, Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque.

Lunch at the Barceló Saray Vista Restaurant.

Afternoon cooking lessons. Learn the secrets of the Sultan’s cooking.

Dinner on your own. 

 

Day four

Breakfast.

Morning visit to the Grand Bazar. If you enjoy shoping and barganing you will love it.

Lunch.

Afternoon cooking lessons. The art of baking of sweets and desserts

Farewell dinner. 

 

Day five

Breakfast.

Transfer to the airport.
