For visitors to the city attending conferences or sporting events, we are located just 4 km from the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre, 1.5 km from La Cartuja Olympic Stadium and 200 m from the High Performance Centre (C.E.A.R.), where rowing and canoeing activities take place. La Cartuja sports facilities, 1.7 km from the hotel, include a 19-hole golf course and paddle tennis courts.
La Cartuja island, where the hotel is located, is a vibrant cultural area. Just 180 m away, the Teatro Central has a contemporary theatre and dance programme, and the Rocío Jurado Arena, 1.5 km from the hotel, has one of the biggest open-air stages in the world, where the latest musical performances are held.
For those who love city breaks, this is the perfect location. There is a bus stop and taxi rank outside the hotel, or you can go into the city centre on foot. It is a pleasant 20-minute walk; crossing the Puente de la Barqueta bridge, with its spectacular views of the city, takes you to the Alameda de Hércules, one of the city’s most stylish districts which has lots of bars and restaurants. From there, it is just a short stroll to historical sites such as the Cathedral, the Giralda tower, the Alcázar Palace and the Santa Cruz area.
The modern area of Seville is also within easy reach. If you want to have a 360º view of the city, there are two great options. The first is to go up to the Metropol Parasol viewpoint (Setas de Sevilla), where you can also visit El Antiquarium museum with its Roman remains from the 6th century and a Moorish house from the 12th and 13th centuries. The second option is to visit La Torre de los Perdigones and its Camera Oscura, which, at 45 metres tall, has spectacular views of the city in the form of a live image that reflects what is happening outside at that moment.
The hotel has a unique setting, close to the main tourist attractions and in natural surroundings. Guests who love outdoor activities will enjoy the Guadalquivir river and the cycle path running along its bank. At the hotel entrance there is a bicycle rental service exclusively for guests. In addition, 700 m away you will find the 47-hectare Alamillo Park, the biggest urban park in the city. It is a large natural area with many native species that create the different ecosystems in Mediterranean forests. Within this natural setting, there are facilities that can complement your contact with nature: several refreshment stands, picnic areas, swings, toilets, bicycle rental, etc. Fun for both adults and kids.
