If you are a fan of aeronautical sports such as hang gliding or parapenting, this is the island for you. You have to bear in mind the course and the strength of the winds when it comes to choosing the ideal place to start a flight. The best days are between November and March. Flying over the Riscos de Famara is, without a doubt, one of the most amazing experiences. In addition, in Costa Teguise you can enjoy incredible views of the whole island.
Surfing, Windsurfing and Kitesurfing
The pleasant climate, great temperature of the water, and naturally the wind and waves all make Lanzarote a perfect destination for windsurfers and surfers from all over the world. In summer when the high winds hit Lanzarote, Las Cucharas beach shows its quality as one of the best spots in the world for windsurfing. The waves are most powerful from October to March, although the rest of the year also offers sufficient conditions for catching the waves. The biggest waves are mainly on the north, east and west coasts.
Apart from sun and beach, you can enjoy a whole range of activities at the Barceló Lanzarote Resort hotel. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a round of golf during their stay on the spectacular Costa Teguise golf course (approximately 2 km away).
Book your Green Fee at hotel reception and get a special discount. There is a second golf course located at Tías (17 Km.).
