    “Great Room with a wonderful View!”

    We have been to the Barcelo Karmina 4 times. Alexis at the front desk was very helpful, pleasant, nice personality. The servers at the pool are very good. Our favorite is definitely Daniel. He is efficient, awesome personality-a wonderful person! Hugo is also very good & kind. The bartender in the lobby bar, Christian, is a great bartender! Breakfast at the Capri is always very good, dinner there is good also. The buffet food is just average. Trini with the jet skis is an incredibly great guy, nice personality, so kind to our son! My son, who has disabilities & I played bingo for a few days in a row. The one time he had Bingo, there was also another Bingo. The guy ignored my son's bingo and gave the prize to a Mexican guy "because he was carrying a baby" REALLY!! We quit playing after that-why bother??? Obviously bias!

    “So so/hit or miss :(”

    3 days in with Premium Level 2 + 1 and not impressed, sorry :( My dad and I are generally happy go lucky people but this resort does not equal good customer service, especially front desk staff. They were tired and worn out as were we, there was no room in the premium lounge on arrival as the shuttle from the airport left us, as they overbooked. There was a promise of compensation but there was none, still we tipped cuz we were grateful they sent another van! Front desk staff did not explain $500 resort credit (equaled zilch for us being premium; 10% off this with application, 15% off this with application, etc) very different from previous experience. No explanation on how to access premium wifi ( thank you to concierge woman the following day who assisted me before opening hours! Bag staff and housekeeping were wonderful however despite promises of fixing broken window blind and safe, never happened. Took multiple calls to front desk regarding safe. I was hung up on when called to ask about arrival wine and tequila upon checkin, delivered the following day. My dad had to call room service 3x on the night of my birthday cuz they didn't deliver my food. Some restaurants Grill didn't open when they were supposed to do left wondering WTF? Open the day of our arrival, the waiter was rude :( which left me feeling bad. Pool/beach staff again hit or miss. I'm sorry my Spanish is little but don't ignore me, I still tip! FOOD: very bland, run of the mill. YES IVE SEEN PREVIOUS REVIEWS from hotel staff. Very disappointed we couldn't take food back to the room after long pool/beach days, and being followed by security when someone said I could. Very scary and unnerving :( i wasn't doing anything illegal, just wanted to eat on my couch in front of the tv. This was a hard d review to write but truthful as I'm still here, what will happen?

    “Beautiful Accomodations”

    My husband and I spent 10 days at the resort. The staff was absolutely terrific. The pools were beautiful and our room was immaculate. The location was great because we love to walk the beach and were able to walk for hours.

    “Barcelo Karmina was one of the best all inclusives I've traveled to”

    Barcelo Karmina exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by friendly reception who helped with our questions and the bar and restaurant staff were the some of the best we've ever had. The bartenders and servers were so friendly and we had a lot of fun trying new drinks and speaking with them. The pools were lovely, the beach area was great, and the food at the buffet and Mexican restaurants were superb. Everything was clean and we never felt uncomfortable. The only thing I'd say is to skip the Japanese restaurant, as it is nothing special. We 100% intend to come back and want to thank everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!

    “Great resort”

    We loved the resort and will definitely come back. The rooms are great-comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is outstanding. We enjoyed the activities staff so much-Arat Elizabeth and Christian. Specialty restaurants weren’t our favorite but we were always able to find good food. The buffet is one of the best we have ever had.
