    Maid service very poor a 5 year old can make a bed better than this-room not cleaned properly dust evident and rust in shower air con does not work Lack of staff to run the hotel properly public toilets smell and urinals do not work. Restaaraunts very basic food with VERY POOR GLUTEN FREE CHOICE THE STAFF DO NOT KNOW WHAT GLUTEN FREE IS! This hotel is run for the convenience of the staff and the ops manager is un professional and incompetent The bar areas are dirty and best described as chaotic.THE staff would rather play on their mobile phones than be attentive Sunny beach generallycis a run down dirty place best described as a mess with nothing cultural to offer perhaps in 20 years time with investment it will improve! As for the royal barcelo being four star it most certainly is NOT the bulgarians idea of customer service falls way short of the rest of europe

    “Terrible!!!”

    The level of cleanliness is terrible. Service lower than expected. The level of kindness is poor. Very disappointing. Upon receiving the room we received a noisy air conditioner. An air-conditioning technician arrived and opened the ventilation holes and removed filters covered with tons of dust. The maid does not come to the room every day, and the level of cleanliness when she comes under any criticism. We saw the hairs of a man's beard before us, cleaning contains to pull a blanket on the bed and putting on a new towel - and that was it! No cleaning was in it. No new soap, shampoo, nothing. The hotel is in a range of mall so zone a and g in the edge of the mall- we were in A so its far from everything- pool, dining room, lobby, no wifi is working and 2/5 days even the maid is not coming!!! And moreover we were on the floor level- so we had a noise from the street. The attitude of the staff under all criticism and the attitude of the hotel manager after we complained about all of the above was even worst!! He said go away from the hotel - such level of rude I never saw!! Only the dining room is fine - but when something is over they wont replace it. Dont go to the lobby toilet- the smell is terrible!!! For your holiday- take other hotel..

    “Excellent Hotel .”

    I stayed there at the end of Aug for 2 weeks , the staff could not do enough to make my stay pleasant and this was my 6th visit to Bulgaria , the Hotel is nice and so is the edible food and the location is very convenient nice shops near by plenty of cafe and restaurants although i would recommend all-inclusive as i was . Everyone were smiling and as i said previously helpful and the trainee manage Pablo was Exceptionally helpful as were all the reception staff . My only negative remark is the room cleaning the staff did not clean the room till 15.00pm or after as i was on the 7th floor and if you wanted to have a rest in the afternoon you could not and they were in and out in 5 min and never seemed to do much , but this could be my fault as i only booked 2 weeks prior to departure . Id certainly return to the Barcelo but ask for a lower floor 1 or 2 . On the whole it was a great holiday ,Id like to say thanks to all the staff who made my Holiday a very enjoyable one .

    “Excellent hotel - highly recommended ”

    Excellent stay. All of the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you! The pool is lovely, the rooms are very spacious and well stocked with all essentials. The food and drink is exceptional. The chef in the tapas bar makes the best paella you will ever have! Top tip: the monster burger from the pool bar could feed a small family!

    “Nezvládali jsme to”

    Ubytovali jsme se v hotelu typu "bed and breakfast" na dva týdny na konci května 2014. Pokoje byly dobré velikosti a vkusně vyzdobené, avšak nebyly z nejčistších. Světlo svítící ze stropu pro dva. Spínače světel do koupelny a plíseň kolem dveří od sprchy a kachliček. Žádný špunt v koupelnovém umyvadle. Personál měl 3 pokusy, a stejně se mu nepovedlo najít špunt, který by seděl. Snídaně — jídlo bylo ok, ale postrádalo nezbytné cukry, vodu na čaj, džem a máslo. Hotel má více vedoucích, než zaměstnanců. Zaměstnanci u stolů pracovali velmi tvrdě a byli přepracovaní, zatímco vedoucí byli v povzdálí. Nutno podotknout, že zrovna nebyla hlavní sezona. Toustovač byl pouze domácí a trvalo mu věčnost opéct dva plátky. Lidé se vzdávali. Pokud byste si vzali nůž na pečivo a v noci vás někdo zastavil, nemohl by vás zatknout za přenášení zbraně. Tímto nožem byste totiž ani ten chleba nenakrájeli. Personál na recepci byl velmi přátelský a zdvořilý. Zástupce firmy Thomas Cook byl velmi vyhýbavý a řekl nám, abychom směřovali všechny stížnosti na recepci. Zkusili jsme to se špuntem do umyvadla, ale zdálo se, že nám vůbec nerozumí a nechtěli jsme strávit na recepci celou dovolenou. Pokoj by měl být určitě zkontrolován alespoň při výměně hostů. Tento hotel byl mnohem lepší než naše předešlé hotely v Bulharsku, ale nebyl skvělý. Předpokládám, že hotel odpoví standardním dopisem s žádným průběhem odeslání.

     Dear geoffrey p, First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to leave your comments and recommendations, which really help us to improve the service to our guests. We are deeply concerned about your unsatisfactory experience with us. Since the hotel was opened just two weeks before your arrival there were still some weak points to be improved. Many staff is renewed every season therefore company standards regarding cleanliness takes a little to be implemented, please accept our apologies. On the other hand and unfortunately the breakfast toaster broke (reason why we had to install the domestic one your refer to) and took ages to receive the spare parts to repair it, now it works as it was meant to be. It could be very helpful for us if you could let us know about the unit number you stayed in, in order to check the failures (mold, plug and light fitting hanging) so we can avoid any discomfort with future guests in this unit.     Ubytovali jsme se v hotelu typu "bed and breakfast" na dva týdny na konci května 2014. Pokoje byly dobré velikosti a vkusně vyzdobené, avšak nebyly z nejčistších. Světlo svítící ze stropu pro dva. Spínače světel do koupelny a plíseň kolem dveří od sprchy a kachliček. Žádný špunt v koupelnovém umyvadle. Personál měl 3 pokusy, a stejně se mu nepovedlo najít špunt, který by seděl. Snídaně — jídlo bylo ok, ale postrádalo nezbytné cukry, vodu na čaj, džem a máslo. Hotel má více vedoucích, než zaměstnanců. Zaměstnanci u stolů pracovali velmi tvrdě a byli přepracovaní, zatímco vedoucí byli v povzdálí. Nutno podotknout, že zrovna nebyla hlavní sezona. Toustovač byl pouze domácí a trvalo mu věčnost opéct dva plátky. Lidé se vzdávali. Pokud byste si vzali nůž na pečivo a v noci vás někdo zastavil, nemohl by vás zatknout za přenášení zbraně. Tímto nožem byste totiž ani ten chleba nenakrájeli. Personál na recepci byl velmi přátelský a zdvořilý. Zástupce firmy Thomas Cook byl velmi vyhýbavý a řekl nám, abychom směřovali všechny stížnosti na recepci. Zkusili jsme to se špuntem do umyvadla, ale zdálo se, že nám vůbec nerozumí a nechtěli jsme strávit na recepci celou dovolenou. Pokoj by měl být určitě zkontrolován alespoň při výměně hostů. Tento hotel byl mnohem lepší než naše předešlé hotely v Bulharsku, ale nebyl skvělý. Předpokládám, že hotel odpoví standardním dopisem s žádným průběhem odeslání.
