    “Excellent resort”

    I stayed at here from September for 11 days September 4-16. Service at this place was great, the facility is neat and clean, all the employees are very kind and helpful. I would like to show my appreciation to Jorge, Luis, Azucena, Daniela, Manuel Arechiga, Fernando Mendez, Erik Sebastian, Jonathan Felix that works in security and the Lifeguard. The only problem I had was that some days it was too nosy. With construction going on, private group blasting their music around the pool this I thought was a bit too much as resting was one of my main reason for being there.

    “Great Relaxing Girls Getaway”

    This is a great all inclusive resort with different activities, great service and food! Gonzalo and Julio were amazing service at the pool both friendly always smiling and incredibly hard working. We enjoyed the Event Staff as well, Vicente, Lizbet, Sergio and Jonathon were so much fun and engaging with every activity we did. I have never had so much fun with aqua aerobics!! Our rooms were very nice and accommodated so that the 4 of us could stay next door to each other. Would definitely recommend!

    “Occidental Nuevo Villarta”

    Our stay was with Royal Club/Premium Membership, the Occidental resorts on Pacific Coast employees/managers seem to not understand the Premium Level Membership and cannot instill in the employees the High Quality Level of Service Expected by those members, understandably the transition from an existing beach resort to a Premium level is a challenge. Compared of the Gulf Riviera Premium Level experience there is no comparison on the Pacific Coast Resorts. For general food a good value, general service very good. Recommend employees be motivated to create a better customer service experience.

    “I love this place”

    This is an amazing stay in pv. The staff at the occidental are wonderful. Courteous. And helpful. From check in to the royal Club our stay has been amazing. Jesus and Ricardo the wait staff at the Royal club have been marvelous. Also helpful were Avaran. Luis Alberto. Chef Luis angel was an excellent presenter of the food and the taste was amazing. Beatrice and katia were wonderful at the reception desk. They go out of their way for us and have been wonderful hosts. We were here in march and we liked it so much we came back. They are doing extensive renovations to the property adding restaurant space and redoing the serving area for snacks. The first club guys are great. Jose and Raul and Marcos were great serving wonderful drinks. Always with a smile. We enjoy the private pool area. The wait staff there are amazing. The room was gorgeous. Modern. With comfortable beds. Frig and microwave. We catch the bus into pv for less than 20 pesos. Then we catch the cab back for ease.

    “All Inclusive Benefits... Some Downsides”

    We stayed for 7 days, 6 nights in the middle of September. The resort is smaller, which we like as we took our four year old daughter. The staff is overall, amazing! We were incredibly impressed with Gonzalo Lopez, a server at the pool and Jesus Rodriguez, a server at the main buffet during dinner. The food is good, the resort is very nice, the ocean access is great! However, a couple of incidents - when we got to our room, we noticed a weird odor in the bathroom, when they called to ask how the room was, I let them know but the issue was not resolved. It rained pretty hard one night and water seeped into our room from the hallway, making a huge puddle in the foyer of the room, bathroom and headed towards the bedroom. When I called to report it, someone was there in a matter of minutes however she was very angry and hadn't dried up all the water. When I pointed it out to her, she became even more angry and cleaned it but she was not happy about it. Then there was an issue with the toilet not flushing, we called downstairs, they fixed it within a couple of hours but made a huge mess and did not clean it up. I was going to call but at that point, I worried they'd think we were just huge complainers. Lastly, the air conditioner kept going out. Reported it three different times, as it would work, then stop and so forth. They totally fixed it, but with the heat and humidity, it's not pleasant to be without a/c. Most of our concerns were addressed and overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Lastly, they are building a new restaurant and the noise from the construction would start around 7 and sometimes go on until 1 am. Hope these maintenance issues are addressed more regularly to avoid having the guests go through this.

    “I love this place”


    This is an amazing stay in pv. The staff at the occidental are wonderful. Courteous. And helpful. From check in to the royal Club our stay has been amazing.
