    “A mostly good stay at the Occidental Menorca”

    A really good spacious hotel with plenty of room for activities, the numerous swimming pools, sun loungers, walkways etc. The rooms had comfortable beds, were bright and cleaned very well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent with plenty of choice and the hotel location good, only a short walk to the beach and hourly buses to Mahon with a stop just outside the hotel. On the down side, the walls were very thin and we could hear someone snoring next door. We had 3 nights out of a 5 night stay where we had to call reception , the first, the TV had stopped working, but this was dealt with well and was fixed whilst we had our evening meal. The second, shower gel had not been replaced, this took 2 phone calls and a 45 minute wait to sort which delayed us going out in the evening. The third time there was a problem with the safe, which took two visits from the technician to sort and then we were left with it beeping during the night so just left it open until we left the hotel. The staff were fair about this and refunded 2 days safe payment. However, we believe we should not have to pay for use of safes and indeed, have not done so anywhere else we have stayed abroad in 4 star hotels, the use of a safe comes as standard and included in the room price. Also standard practice elsewhere is the provision of feminine hygiene bags, and tissues, but although I asked, none were provided. Finally, we were half board and my husband felt that coffee after the evening meal could have been included in the price. rather than us have to move to the bar and pay for it. Overall a good stay, however we hope the hotel will take our feedback on board.

    “Excellent Hotel”

    This was our first family holiday with our little boy and we were impressed with the hotel. We arrived earlier then check in time but there was a luggage store for us to use. When we got to our room the size was a little disappointing. We needed a cot for our child and once this was up in the room we were very limited on space. My husband went to the desk to ask if we could have a room that accommodated us better and we were given another room with more then ample space with the cot up. The room had tea / coffee facilities, a small fridge and a safe (deposit required prior to use). There are a few pools to choose from. We used the splash park and the children's pool which were both wonderful for our son. My only criticism would be there are limited spaces for sun beds around the splash park area. We didn't use the kids club as our son wanted to be in the water most of the holiday but the kids club looked like it catered for different ages. The evening entertainment was excellent for children. Our son loved the disco in the evenings. The restaurant had a wide choice of dinners. There was plenty of choice for us and our son. The staff were efficient with cleaning and offering further drinks. The spa was beautiful. I had a massage and could not recommend it enough. The staff at the hotel were amazing. They are all so hardworking and friendly and a credit to the hotel.

    “Nice hotel but cold food”

    We have just been on a family (2 adults and 1 child, 15 years) holiday to the Occidental Menorca on All Inclusive basis. The resort is obviously more widely visited by Italians, Spanish & French although there were several English families at the hotel. Didn't notice any Germans. It is a nice, smallish hotel in Punta Prima. Punta Prima itself is Very small, about 5 restaurants, a small supermarket, pharmacy and a couple of souvenir shops. The beach isn't very big either. I do like to go for a wander after dinner and therefore this was a problem. The hotel is nice but it does have some issues. I'll start with the positives though; -small -very friendly staff -enthusiastic entertainment team -good size bedrooms (stayed in a family room that was 2 rooms with interconnecting sliding door) -Very nice spa with sauna, steam, water jets, various different showers, jacuzzi (was additional cost for this but worth it) -plenty of sun beds always available -Nice pools & pool area clean -TV in rooms had BBC 1, BBC2, ITV, ITV4, ITVbe & SkyNews -only half and hour from the airport Negatives; -The food would be my biggest moan. Everything was cold or warm at best. I'm not sure if the hot-plates weren't working but they really didn't keep any food hot. We also had chicken and fish that were raw in the middle and therefore not edible. -The beds are rock hard!! -we weren't overly impressed with the evening entertainment, a lot of it was the entertainment staff dancing and/or lip sinking to songs. Other people did seem to enjoy it so perhaps it's just not our taste. Maybe a couple of nights it could be geared up more for adults? -often got the wrong drinks i.e. Ordered 2 diet cokes/coke lights and a still water (in Spanish) and got 2 normal cokes (not much use for a T1 diabetic) and a fizzy water! -a lot of the entertainment was in Spanish, French and Italian with only a bit in English so sometimes difficult to understand fully -our room could have been cleaned better i.e. A couple of days left without a bath mat, another day no spare toilet roll and only a few sheets left on the roll and an empty bottle of their shower gel left on the holder for the last few days. -my husband also said that in the men's toilets near the restaurant the soap dispenser was empty the whole time we were there. Don't get me wrong, we have had a nice time but a few changes would made the world of difference.

    “naprostá spokojenost”

    Hotel se nachází v klidném letovisku, od pláže asi 5 min chůze. Je relativně velký, architektonicky vkusný, udržovaný - vše je čisté. Několik restaurací, barů, bazémy, dětská část oddělená (výborný nápad). Fitness, spa. Pokoje jsou menší, dobře vybavené, koupelna naopak prostorná. Vše je udržováno v čistotě. Využili jsme polopenzi, strava pestrá a chutná, všeho dostatek, ráno čerstvé džusy, podávají i místní speciality. Všechen personál (recepce, úklid, servis) milý a ochotný. Z hotelu se dají podnikat pěší procházky po pobřeží, do Binibecy apod. Pod hotelem je půjčovna kol i aut. Před hotelem zastávka autobusu - jezdí často a včas. V letovisku je pár obchodů i restaurací. Všechna další místa na ostrově jsou snadno dostupná. Na pláži je bílý písek, voda čistá, vstup vhodný i pro děti. Lehátka a slunečník za poplatek - 15 E, což je na ostrově obvyklá cena. V okolí se dají najít krásné, divočejší pláže. Osazenstvo hotelu je všech věkových kategorií. Animační programy - pro ty, kterí baví. Večery klidné, vyspat se dá dobře, i když my jsme neměli okna do atria s bazény. Lze jedině doporučit - jak hotel, tak celou Menorcu, která je úchvatná.

    “spokojenost”

    Hotel na velmi dobré úrovni, milý přístup všech zaměstnanců, dobré pokojové služby, hotel je velmi čistý. Dobré anmační programy celý den i večer hlavně pro děti. Opravdu skvělé jídlo, velký výběr, hodně ryby, celková spokojenost. Pláž asi 500 m od hotelu

    Hotel na velmi dobré úrovni, milý přístup všech zaměstnanců, dobré pokojové služby, hotel je velmi čistý. Dobré anmační programy celý den i večer hlavně pro děti. Opravdu skvělé jídlo, velký výběr, hodně ryby, celková spokojenost. Pláž asi 500 m od hotelu
