    “Just average resort”

    Did not receive the VIP extras and my room was downgraded on check in, took more than an hour to rectify it. Not everything I’m included on the “all inclusive” (room service not included, extra fee on some restaurants)

    “Still at hotel.. ”

    The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice the pool is nice. A couple of things the hotel lacks is its personnal. They are never around to help when asking for help they look at you like if you are bothering them to get you something. We asked for drinks, napkins, utensils everythjng arrives 10 mins late if not more. To the point where we just get up an get things ourselfs. Also I have not eaten one good meal at this hotel since I arrived.. I mean I read the reviews from several vacationers, I feel like people often complain for the smallest and dumbest things, but I must agree with everyone else the food is not great at all, everything is sloppy, messy, to get a simple thing as eggs in the morning the cooks are catching attitude.So far we have eaten at one of the resturants The Coral, waited so long for our food, the only thing hot on the plate was the plate itself. We picked Barcelo because we stayed here awhile back before it was upgraded and it was amazing. We also stayed at Barcelo chain hotels in Mexico and it was also amazing but this one lacks these things..

    “Currently still at the resort”

    We arrived yesterday and had a family room but my father had recently injured his knee. I asked if we could just switch to a junior suite that’s closer because the family rooms are quite a distance away from the main area, beach, and pool. We arrived at 1pm, the family room was ready right away but we’re told at 3pm a junior room would be ready. We come back at 3 to be told that the junior suites are all booked and cant be ready until tomorrow at 11am. So FIRST time our time is wasted and no cares. We come at 11am the next day and again come back at 2:30 pm. SECOND time is wasted. I speak to Supervisor Rudy and he clearly knows we’re upset and we’re tired of being lied to. He says “take my word you’ll be taken care of”. I come back at 2:30 and am told that the room won’t be ready until 4. THIRD time is wasted. I say show me the room at least i want to walk the distance and see if it’s going to be far away for my father. They tell me building 5 and I walk over and as I am just approaching the room, I can just smell urine. A repair man is in the room and the door is open, the smell was terrible. Of course now I am so mad. No one cares, all the front desk does is lie to you. Spoke to the other supervisor and told him we’re not changing rooms but now I’m just pissed. A complete waste of time. Running from beach to front desk, pool to front desk. It’s enough. Save your money because no one cares here.

    “Punta Cana”

    Everithing was good, hotel, the food, the beach too.First time I encountered hotel that is changing the towels twice a day...mornings and in the evenings. Only surpize was in italuan restorant ...they had only calzone with pepperoni and no other pizzas....

    “Stay at Hotel”

    My stay at the hotel was okay. The check in receptionist service was very poor. They did not give me a pager and had me just wait continuously when others had pagers. At the breakfast buffet, the policy was known as first come first serve, but they had seated other two people parties ahead of my family of four at a four people table, so how does that uphold the policy.
