    the Beach was amazing the hotel itself clean and inviting, The service was terrible when you have to wait a minimum of 15 minutes to get a drink at the swim up bar, its uncalled for, plus I really hated the fact that children were allowed at the swim up bar, standing on the bar sitting on the seats, CHILDREN DO NOT BELONG ON TOP OF THE SWIM UP BAR!!! AND IF THE PARENTS ARE TOO STUPID TO TELL THEM TO GET DOWN THE BAR TENDER SHOULD.... THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE, Mexican restaurant was tolerable thats it, we went off the resort to eat which is sad when you are in an all inclusive... the lobby bar was not much better for service waited along time for a drink... I found the language barrier much more difficult that any other vacation I have been on, every year there is a large group of us that go to a different island or Mexico,,,, this is absolutely sub standard compared to all the others we have been.... I did not find the staff friendly at all the maid service was excellent but unfortunately they didn't speak or understand one word of English... I may return to Aruba most likely NOT, but would never stay at the Barcelo again.

    “Aruban perfection!”

    Fun in the sun! The staff were excellent; they were always attentive and courteous. Many repeat guests because of continued excellent service and friendliness. We will be returning with our children in the near future. We had the availability to many recreational activities both on and off the property. Staff helped make it easy to book the excursions and often double checked to make sure everything was up to a satisfactory standard.

    “Barceló Aruba hotel”

    I am the first club member at Barceló Aruba hotel and had expressed my displeasure with the food to trip advisor last year 2016. In 2017 I can not say enough about the improved Quality of the food and some of the improvedments. My only concern is in the beach area, as a first member we are being being pushed aside in favor royal club hotel non members getting reserved areas for them. As first club member we support you year after year and believe you should some consideration in this area.

In the case of the palapas with names (reserved for specific Guests) to which you are referring to, these are for the timeshare guests, which include this service within their contract.     “Had a great time at the Barcelo Aruba!”

    Have been coming to this resort since 2000. Love the staff, the location, and the service that is received. All the staff is great, but my exceptional staff members are Ranauto, Zotina, and Theo at the Palm. Ketty, Dyron, and Roland in the bellhop service. Frank at the beach. All staff members are friendly though. Also had a wonderful taxi driver named Randall. Recommend him highly!!!

    “Best Vacation!”

    This was our first time to Aruba. We have always previously traveled to Domican Republic & stayed at Barcelo. However, this vacation exceeded all expectations. Aruba has now become our perfect vacation destination!
