    “Experience in Costa Rica”

    Good location, Bad service. Is an average hotel. The price is too high in compare with the services that the hotel have. The pool is ok. The employees talk like robots, they need to be more naturals with the customer

    “A Great Hotel in a not so walk friendly location”

    The hotel itself looks great & the staff are wonderful, helpful & very friendly. Premium rooms offering exclusive 6th floor service is nice to have and we certainly enjoyed the extra luxury touch. The Japanese dining room served very good food, much above the quality in the general dining area which was a bit expensive and mediocre at best. Breakfast gets very boring if you're staying more than a few days as we did.

    “Tour Desk Staff review”

    Stayed at Barcelo San Jose for 7 days and booked VIP City Tour. The tour guides was Alberto with Christina. He was knowledgeable of the city highlights and history. The tour was good enough on a Sunday. Tour Desk at this hotel is very limited and does not offer suggestions to help guests figure out how to get to places around the city. Staff at the tour Desk lack friendliness.

    “Stolen things”

    We had a very bad experience at the hotel, cleaning personal stole a passport, money, debit cards and a pair of expensive sun glasses. Report to police and to hotel staff but hotel staff did not help at all. No way we come back again to that hotel.

We proceeded to review the security tapes and the report of entries of the key reader to your room and did not find any improper behavior on behalf of our housekeeping staff.     “Excellent service”

    The service at reception and the 6th floor was awesome, very helpful, polite, very nice. The service at the bars and restaurant was also very good. The pool was a bit cold, but the pool bar made up for it. Thank you.
