    “Great location, busy beach front ”

    This hotel is right on the beach. Next to a small shopping and restaurant complex. We stayed for a couple of days at the end of our vacation to visit Ostia Antica and the surrounding area. Had a view of the med and beach walk. People watching is a must. It’s a little older and has its issues with air conditioning and some amenities but it’s understandable. In front they are doing work on the beach and it is noisy during the day. Not sure how long that will go on. Been in quite a few European countries and there is always construction or large cranes. To be expected. A sandstorm was bringing sand from North Africa almost our whole trip. Made for sand all over the balcony and being tracked in. The staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again, would love to see how the beach turns out. If in a rental car you should know that parking can be a real pain in the backside. This place is popular!

    “Disappointing”

    Our travel agent booked the hotel for 2 nights, for about $188 per night. When we saw it on Travelocity for about $75-80 a night, they told us they couldn't do anything about that. We gave over a week's notice to cancel the second night (making arrangements elsewhere) and they refused to refund our money. The hotel was so far from the Rome airport and cruise port of Civitavecchia, we had to pay $300 for cab!! Ridiculous, and feel like we were ripped off by the hotel and the travel agent. $600 mistake.

    “Disappointing Stay”

    Was coming on business trip and local rep booked this hotel for me. First impression at lobby is great but next moment in the room was terrible and dusty. The room is facing rubbish yard and you could see at least 20-30 crows hovering over for food. The door seal at the balcony is loose and you can hear wind whispering over the gap. When I trying to look for a power socket for my laptop, It took me with surprise that it is hidden behind the table. I called the front desk and i was told it is same for all rooms. it is hard to believe isn't it. When i asked for solution, the customer service was just simply helpless. I was left with no choice and express my intention to check out, then the duty manager manage to look for a techincian to add in a extension cord on the floor for me to plug in my laptop charger. the whole journey to get my laptop charging took 1.5hr to resolve Next I realised the room is not provided with either complimentary water nor kettle or cup. This is not acceptable as the room service will close in late hour and if you are feeling thirsty in the night you will not have any water. Once again when I asked for the service to have a kettle and cup to be serviced in the room, the atitude of the staff is again being unfriendly. You will have to be persistent otherwise things is not going to happen. It was finally half hour the room service delivered the kettle and cup but this time round it was leave on the table and left without greeting the guest. When I trying to plug power to the socket, I realised the kettle power cord is too short when the extension socket was on the floor. It shocked me again when I called the front desk for help, they insisted that that is not possible and told me that they have other work to handle. I was finally managed to invite the manager to my room to see it for themself, what they did was to put out the dustbin and put the kettle at the top. I am totally give up to talk to people without any sense of customer service in the industry. I have to do it myself to lift the power cord on top of the dustbin so that the cable is long enough to put the kettle on the table. I have got 3 nights stay in this horrible place and can't wait to finish my work to leave this place. Please see it for yourself the attached photo for the final setup in the room

    I was booked through the boking site and I was surprised that the hotel told me it was non-breakfast, but the staff treated them well. The second topic is that there is no coffee or tea in the room, nor coffee or tea as in other hotels

    “Sensible and Easy”

    We missed a connecting flight and had to stay overnight- we found this hotel and were completely satisfied with our stay. Albeit short, service was fantastic. The reception experience was great and she was very friendly and understanding with our exhaustion from the day's travels.
