    “Spring Break”

My friends and I had an awesome time on spring break here! There were lots of games and activities going on around the pool and beach area. The staff were all super friendly and did whatever they could to help us out. Mauricio was one of our favorite workers, he did a great job with teaching us some dance moves in the dance classes and being in charge of some of the different games! The hotel is a quick bus ride away from all of the different clubs and bars, so perfect for spring breakers who are looking to go out at night!

“Lots of Pros but Small Beach, Very Noisy”

We were a family of 4 with children 6 and 9 years old and travelled with 2 grandparents. Pros: -Staff at all restaurants were extremely friendly, provided very good service and did not push for tips. -The rooms were new, very well kept and very clean. -The food was excellent! We didn't bother with reservations for the dinner time and kept to the Albatross buffets and they were great with lots of variety (and we are mostly gluten free, non dairy, low sugar, low fat eaters). They also had a 24 hr snack bar, fully stocked with fruit, cold cuts, burgers, fries and breakfast items in the morning when you have an early excursion or flight out and the restaurants aren't open. -Our room was at ground level ,it opened up to the garden had a hammock, so great for kids who need space! -The kids club was simple, but so convenient when you need them to be engaged in an activity like baking cookies, doing paper mâché or making swords as you try and book your excursions, or pack. Cons: -The Beach is very small (30 yards wide) . The photos are misleading. There is a condo right next door and a barrier that demarcates it's private property. And on the other side, there's a boat dock where large groups get on cruises that take them to the islands. The beach has loungers and umbrellas squeezed one after another with barely any space between. On most days, you lie on the lounger with the wind bringing in boat exhaust. And there's no where to escape. The swimming area is less than 10 yards from the beach and is cordoned off with buoys as boats are passing through. -Daily activities and entertainment means there's lots of noise. You will not get a chance to even just sit in peace until 11 pm at night when the daily night shows end. This is not good for families with small children or if you signed up for an excursion which all tend to leave at 7 am (so you need to be up early to get in a breakfast) So bring ear plugs! -We were unfortunately there during Spring Break and it meant seeing activities during the day geared to that crowd, ie: tequila shot contests with kids in earshot. -Children's swimming area is really an infant wading pool. -There are no rooms on the resort far enough from the noise and activity, so if you seek peace, a big stretch of sand to escape the swearing, drunken crowd, you need to walk to Playa Langosta ( 15 mins walk) and rent loungers (5 pesos each), umbrellas (5 pesos each) and get your drinks and food from the Casa Maya resort. There's also public washrooms, change rooms (which close at 5 pm) and a great playground there. -If you want a dinner reservation you will need to start lining up at their concierge desk at 6 am in the morning to get a reservation. It's not convenient but really, it's not needed as the Albatross is open to 10 pm and it's great!

    “Spring break 2017”

The pool and beach entertainment staff were very nice and got the guests involved in very fun daily events. Mauricio, Danny, Brennan and Lorena(morning yoga) all were very friendly and made the stay worth it. The beach and pool were both nice and cozy. Rooms were nice, we had a great terrace view. The restaurant reservation procedure was not great, as you had to wait in line every morning, would be better to sign up at check in for the entire stay. Food was typical buffet type and not anything special at the other three restaurants. The bar and wait staff were also very friendly! However one in the Claraboya was actually making fun of us behind the partition and we heard it - not cool. Evening music and dancing around the pool after the 9:00 pm show would be fun during spring break; i can understand how they wouldn't want to do it all the time as this is smaller cozy resort.

“One Great Time With Very Helpful People”

It was a great experience. The stay was great and along with the food. The majority of our meals were in the buffet. If you want great service with a great smile and attitude, make sure you have Pepe for your waiter.

    “SpringBreak!”

Most friendly and helpful people ever! So lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more sweet to my friends and I. Everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bars, and all restaurants. Food was really good and was a great value for money. Our room was well equipped and comfortable, especially with our ocean view balcony. I could go on and on about how I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. Shout out to the sports and entertainment team for everything you did while my friends and I were there. We enjoyed hanging out with you friends! Especially Mauricio Fierro! 😊
