    “Great place!”

    I spend 5 days at allegro and yes I did pay $45 for the internet for two devices, which is not the greatest but not the worst. I enjoyed the place and I found everyone to be nice and kind, the employees at allegro were super nice to us and the room was clean and decent. The entertainment was good too and like most people I believe the food is not the greatest but is not bad for an all inclusive hotel. Make sure to make a reservation to the italian and oriental restaurants with one day anticipation because they usually are booked everyday, this said, I do not think the food at the oriental restaurant was any good, maybe the ice cream was, but honestly it was not very special, again, the people there are the best. They make the tro and my staying at Allegro a very good experience. Make sure to go to the little bar/club and ask the bartender to make some shots for you! He was amazing and very friendly. If you are interested in going to 5th avenue the taxi will charge you about $8 dollars. There you can find all types of things and so many restaurants. I did take the presentation and it took about 2 hours but because we spent some time asking questions and all that.

    “fantastic location”

    ice fantastic holiday experience great cleanliness, very good food, nice room, nice location, helpful staff helpful and friendly, animation varies also for kids, very welcoming staff. Personally I would recommend it and hope to return to see the wonderful places that And fantastic archaeological sites that are close to the village area

    “Home from home”

    We visited the Allegro Playacar again in July/August 2017, the exact same weeks from last year. We chose the Allegro as we wanted to see the improvements made by Barceló. The rooms have been greatly improved and no longer have a dated feel. We had rooms 2402 -2403 which was a connecting room for our family of five and it provides plenty of room. Food: This seems to have improved ten fold from last year in all locations from the Buffet in the main restaurant to the buffet in by the pool for lunch time. Our kids particularly like the lunch buffet as it serves great burgers and hot dogs along with an array of other dishes, it was also pleasing to see that the clothing and footwear rule was being enforced during this service. As for the la carte, I can only comment on the Mexican, this was fantastic... the food and service was great on both occasions that we eat in there the staff who work in the Mexican in the evening are great fun. As for last year this year was no different in terms of how friendly the staff are... they go out of there way to make your stay special and work extremely hard. Again we must say a big thank you to Alex and Humberto.... these guys are a credit to the resort!! The provision of shaded areas around the pool is again a great improvement and hopefully in time the trees on the beach will grow to provide adequate shaded areas also but for now just go careful if having a beach day!! The timeshare guys are still there... not as full on as last year which is good. My only major negative for this place is the cost of wifi,,,$45 for 7 days for 2 devices.....I believe if you book through Barceló and become a member you get it for free. Overall for the price of this hotel you really cant go wrong.... the beach is beautiful, it is set in beautiful grounds with amazing staff....love this place.

    “Hotel was great, Barcelo, No”

    I liked the beach. The hotel was good. The staff was all very very polite. The whole thing with the forced meeting with the sales group was unnecessary. What was supposed to be 90 minutes became three hours. Having your salesperson grab my arm, twist it around to look at my tattoos was a major problem. Then to have her share sexual adventures of her life, unprofessional. And last, refusing to give back my "deposit" by giving me some cheap tequila, is just shocking. I'll make sure to avoid the Barcelo Group in the future.

    “Allegro Playacar for Franklin!”

    Great place, great people, you can't go wrong at this place. Some of the best food I've had anywhere! I did my PADI open water this summer and had to contend with Franklin stirring the water up! I got it done and will be back to Allegro Playacar to do some more diving next year at Cozumel. This is a gated community, very clean, very secure, and very fun!
