“Costa del Lord of the Flies”

Don't go here under any circumstances in summer, unless you are a child under 14. Or are bringing a child under 14. Yes, kids rule this hotel - all four pools and two levels of it. There are three designated children's pools, and yet all day, every day there were approximately 10-20 children cannonballing, splash-kicking, and throwing face masks and goggles across the ONE ADULTS ONLY POOL. This pool is in no way suitable for children, as it's an infinity pool with sharp granite edges and lots of surfaces to slip and crack your head on - but instead of enforcing this one tiny piece of adults-only territory, they employ a nervy female lifeguard who stands at the edge whistling and pointing to anyone who goes near the edge. Hilariously, while kids could do whatever they want (kick and splash adults trying to swim lengths, divebomb in, chuck heavy face-masks across it), we adults were fully policed, and were told we could not float on our inflatable ring. We wouldn't have minded, but there were no other bloody rules so it seemed a bit much. The restaurant has some good buffet food (lots of it authentic Spanish) but is overrun with kids in the summer months, even as late as 10.30pm. There isn't much of a system so they pretty much run wild. Only around 10% of the guests appeared to be childless adults, so they simply aren't catered to - anything we had a problem with, staff just shrugged off. Furthermore, anything we asked staff for - to call ahead and confirm our airport transfer, for example - hardly any of them spoke enough English to understand, and if they did, they just shrugged and said 'We cannot'. There is no going above and beyond at this hotel. They did not show us to our room or offer to help with cases on arrival. On more than one occasion our room was not cleaned despite our being out all day. The bar staff didn't know how to make 60% of the drinks on their list and would just sulkily point at the other bar on the lower/upper level and say 'That's only *that* bar'. My sister was stung by a jellyfish in the water just at the end of the resort's rocks, and there were no signs or flags to warn us. Our room was down by the delivery entrance, so we got the lorries clunking up and down, and restaurant staff having a noisy fag break below our balcony. Not very private. It was also behind the entertainment stage, which had raucous music and one night, relentless drumming, until 11pm. So no escaping from kiddieville, either. It's such a shame - if you take all of the people (guests and staff) out of this hotel, it is lovely to look at - landscaped cacti and bougainvillea, palms, architectural design. But there are no rules and no organisation in place to make it pleasant for everyone, not just young families. It seems like such a waste to let it turn into kiddie chaos in every single area. To not be able to even get in to the main pool, let alone swim halfway across it, seems a bit rubbish when you've paid £500+ each a week. The only saving grace is the a la carte restaurant and bar, which is very calm and overlooks the beach - but of course you have to pay extra for it.

    “Decent - ish”

This hotel is beautiful when you first enter. We were checked in and welcomed to the hotel and they had arranged a late meal for us due to our late pm arrival. Our room was spacious and always kept clean and tidy, it did have a kitchenette (with no crockery/cutlery or cookware) even though it is an AI resort. The pools are all salt water which I was not aware of before booking but didn't really bother us too much. We tried both pools and the 'adult' pool is located right next to he children's pool and play area and most of the kids end up in the adult pool. The staff don't do anything about this apart from check with parents/Carer's that they can swim unaided and if not ask them to wear arm bands. Not what I would expect from an adult area. The main pool was better in my opinion as it does what it says on the tin, it is also beside a secluded beach and a rocky area at the back which leads straight to the sea so there are pelt of options for sitting/ swimming etc. Food. This was a let down, although there were some things that were lovely most of the time it was pretty bad. They have a special on the grill each night but people queue for this and the queue is usually pretty long. We ate out a couple of times during our stay which we both really enjoyed. The bars open and close throughout the day making it a little inconvenient for getting drinks including water at times. There is always something open but it means you have to walk from one pool bar to the other which is at the other side of the hotel and 4 floors apart.

Beautiful hotel sitting right on small beach with stunning views offers a relaxing quiet getaway. Highly recommend trying the burgers made in the beach hut bar they are amazing! Hotel is located in a quiet high class residential area right on the beach and is only a 5 euro taxi ride away if wanting to go to the shops pubs and amenities of magaluf strip. Friendly and accomodating staff wide range of activites offered with the animation team. Good food with access to the snack bar throughout the day if all inclusive. Good selection of drinks and coffee all round would highly recommend

Fantastic location, situated on a quiet sandy beach near to bustling magaluf which is within walking distance. Good service with lots of entertainment for all ages. Some poor quality rooms on the lower floors, not enough sun beds and the food is not kept warm.

Hotel is set in a fantastic location. But unfortuantly for us it stopped there. Some staff were rude and unhelpful. Food was repetitive, cold, and sometimes undercooked. The evening entertainment was basic. Not many people went to it. Everything onsite in the shop is 10x more expensive than in England. 18€ for a rubber ring. Overall if you have kids over 5years then they will get bored as there isn't anything to do there except swim, swim, swim. If you like the pool and can sit around it for a week or two then it's the place for you. There is no nightlife unless you go into magalove, which after 5pm with kids is a no no as all the piss heads come out and taxis become extinct.
