    “Good but not a 4 star”

    We read a lot of reviews in the run up to our holiday, some good, some bad. We could see bits of both. Our apartment was on the first floor in block 2. It was just behind reception and very close to the beach. It had the sun on the balcony all day. We thought it was in the perfect position and was kept clean and tidy. Having spoken to other guests however some of the apartments that were out of the sun all the time did suffer from mold and the smell that goes with it. They were moved but only on the next day which meant spending a night in the room with mold. We mentioned this issue to the Rep as we had read about this in other reviews. He said that the hotel know about the issue. Why then are they still putting people in these apartments, perhaps they hope that people will just suffer in silence. It seems to be the luck of the draw to which apartment you get as the complex is massive. We were very lucky and couldn't have been allocated a better apartment. The food was good with lots of choices and the staff in the restaurants worked very hard and were always friendly. The restaurant does get very busy and noisy but we always found a table without a problem. There were a lot of families with children so if you want a quiet meal in the restaurant then this isn't the place to stay. The entertainment is also geared towards children and families. Some of the bars within the complex were not all inclusive which was a shame but you got 20% off the bill if you were on the all inclusive package. Near our room there was a "cat cafe" a small hut with cat food in it for stray cats and on a couple of occasions as we opened the door to come out of the apartment a cat ran in and we ended up chasing it round the apartment to get it out. The beach still wasn't finished and to be honest we never saw anybody working on it for the whole week we were there. There is another beach a short walk away so it didn't bother us at all. All in all we enjoyed the holiday but there is certainly room for improvement to make it a 4 star hotel.

    “Lovely holiday, cant wait to go back”

    The resort was lovely, the food was great and available throughout with the variety changing each day. The resort is really good for small children and the entertainment team were exceptional, with the various competitions during the days it broke the day up and were great fun.

    “Much better than a tower block hotel, but lots of space for improvement”

    I've just spend a week there with my family of 8, ages ranged from 3 to 90. Pro: Nice Location and good layout /architecture Friendly barkeepers Con: - 3 of my family members got heavy diarrhoea & sickness from the food (2 children, 1 adult) - services like renting a car and special services for our 90-year old grandmother are not provided, as it says on the website, but we've been told to find and operator in town instead by a very unconcerned desk lady - not even basic beverages like water are included in half-board - my family members with AI tried the beer and wine on tap - absolutely undrinkable quality (and I do just normally drink discounter 3 € euro wine !) - incontinence "rubber sheet" on my mattress, how strange and very uncomfortable - bed for child was paid, but even after request no bed nor mattress was provided ( we made it ourselves by using the sofa bed in the living room) - derelict bathroom table - only one heated pool out of 5 total - no watersports center - I came especially to do windsurfing with hired gear as the website suggests it wd be possible. But to do so one must hire a car and drive to a location somewhere on the island

    “winter sun”

    spent 3 weeks in 1 bed bungalow overlooking sea better location as beach being refurbished which was a bit of an issue bungalow spacious but lack of drawer space and could do with hooks in bathroom a bit of a smell some mornings in bathroom maids very helpful and left spray for a couple of cockroches unavoidable due to lots of plants and vegetation about.Food was of good quality in the main although cold at times spoke to restaurant staff and noticed a difference after this soup plugged into thermometers.Staff were helpful if you pointed out any issues.Heated pool surroundings had issue with bird poo again mentioned it to staff who said the surroundings were only cleaned weekly but next day this was cleaned up.Chilly at night . Plenty of good flat walking in area Entertainment was better than at Thalasso Spa where we stayed last year.Holly Alex and Maria took us every day for gentle exercise every morning and set us up for the day Thanks girls .

    Not sure this can be classed as a beach resort when the beach is closed due to construction! (And looks like it will remain closed for some time). The hotel did email us to warn us about this two weeks before but they would have known for many months, they should have said when we booked!! It is also worth noting the hotel is under the main approach to the airport which is only a few kilometres away. The "premium" buffet is ok but has a very limited choice and the food sits under heat lamps for a long time as the restaurant is small. The main buffet has better choice and fresher food but really lacks any form of character. The rooms a good as is "Johns pool" for the premium guests. The town has a very cheap and tacky feel to it. You really need a hire car so you can get out.
