    “Another visit to our favorite hotel, on our favorite island.”

    Just back from another great stay, the management are always looking for areas in which to make improvements and their dedication to customer satisfaction, and their resulting achievements are there for all to see & enjoy. We have been 3 times in the last year and each time they have brought a smile to our faces with the little touches that make this place so special. The food which is always excellent, but the chefs manage to improve on each visit, the staff, so hard working, are a true asset & a joy to be with. Too many to mention them all, but John, Marian, Dennise, Carlos, Yessica, Eva & Ava, are absolute stars!! As the English say, "the proof is in the pudding", so don't hesitate get it booked and enjoy!!. So keep up with what you are so very good at, and see you all again in November. Peter & Chris

    “Great week away Lovely Hotel x”

    Just returned from a week away with my Daughter . We started off in room 5028 Junior Suite. To our horror we were woken at 7 am the next morning to the most horrendous noise of workmen and diggers renovating the beach !!! ( we were not informed of the beach not being finished .) The work men could and did look, straight into our room . I went to reception to request another room on the other side of hotel . Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available... however there would be an alternative junior suite available on the wednesday. Very gratefully accepted this . We moved to room 4024 ...much better.. right beside the Premium pool and lovely Ocean view !!! Other than this hiccup I cannot praise this hotel highly enough . The staff are all amazing and cannot do enough for you . The beds are the most comfy that ive slept in . The food at El Ancla is tfirst class with your choice of fresh meat or fish cooked to order. Lots of choice for salads veg etc .Always replenished when they get low .The entertainment team were amazing and worked sooo hard .The bars and restaurants in the Marina area were good too . Once the beach is reopended and finished it will be an amazing area . Would highly recommend this hotel especially Rooms in Block 4 .

    “Ok for 4-stars ”

    There are a lot of strong pros and cons for this hotel. We booked one night suite. Here are the pros: 1. Room is really big and you get one small kitchen, I guess this is partly why there are so many young couples with kids here. 2. Lunch buffet was really tasty and rich. We would only recommend booking this hotel with half board. 3. Personnel very nice. We could postpone our check out for one hour without problem. Now the cons: 1. Coffee is terrible at breakfast. We had a lot of filter coffee in other hotels sometimes even Nespresso. The coffee here is not drinkable. 2. Water in the shower was really weak! We were so looking for a hot shower after a long day and so disappointed. 3. The next room was unter construction so it was kind of loud during day time. In the evening they had an open air show until 11 and that was really loud. We wanted to go to bed early and it was not possible. All in all it was ok for 4-stars. Devil lies in details. We had the feeling that things were not done to make sure that guests could have a pleasant stay. For example the fitness studio was in barcelo Fuerteventura (another hotel with 10-15 minutes walking). For those who stay in the premium area 4 and just want to get a quick sweat during cold windy days, this is not convenient.

    “Not for vegetarians ”

    Just returned and must say we had a few problems things you don't expect from a 4 star hotel were they forgot to clean our room after the sign was on the door for 9 hours l asked for the manager to call me I'm still waiting for that call. Called for our dry cleaning and told they will bring it straight over 3 hours later I went and got it from the front desk myself. My wife is a vegetarian and the choice was very limited and not marked for vegetarians.The good points are pool area is nice and clean breakfast is good and the rooms are a good size. This is our 3rd visit to the island and we'll return again but not to this hotel.

    “Oasis of calm in the sun”

    ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE BARCELO CASTILLO. Super, clean room with huge dimensions. The hot tub was a real bonus as was the chocolates on the pillow each night, the complimentary fruit and bottle of fizz. The only criticism was the lack of access to the local beach but apart from that (and we found plenty to do elsewhere) we found the hotel excellent in all respects. The food was varied and fresh, the service impeccable.

    “Another visit to our favorite hotel, on our favorite island.”


    Just back from another great stay, the management are always looking for areas in which to make improvements and their dedication to customer satisfaction, and their resulting achievements are there for all to see & enjoy.     “Ok for 4-stars ”
