“Might be the best holiday we've had so far.”

If you want to relax and be pampered by helpful staff in a very comfortable environment with excellent bar and restaurant facilities then this would be a good choice of holiday. It was more expensive than our usual type of holiday but it was well worth it overall.

    “6 day winter break”

My wife and I opted for the all inclusive package and stayed in a suited room with exceptional sea views. To watch the sunrise at the beginning of each day was a treat. We found the mini bars to be well stocked and enjoyed spending the afternoons with a cold drink, whilst watching life go by below. We chose to eat our breakfast and lunch at the restaurant by the heated pool. The food and staff were always just what was needed and added to the pleasure of our stay. Each night except Friday, we chose to eat at the A La Carte restaurant and found the food and staff here to be a cut above. The food was imaginative, well presented and cooked to a very high standard. On our return back to the UK we have rebooked the hotel with the same package again, for the same time next year.

    “Worrying changes”

Usual excellent rooms, views, breakfast and lunch food. Staff lovely, helpful, friendly. Don't let the following put you off completely, this is still a great hotel. During our stay changes were made to the Dinner arrangements. Instead of fine dining at the Club Premium la carte restaurant or Club Premium Buffet the choice was revised down to buffet in the main dining room (not club premium) or a three course meal chosen from a limited menu in the Canary restaurant. The food served in this restaurant used to be authentic Canary Island Food. Now it is neither one thing or the other....It is not the traditional food that used to be available nor is it the fine dining which used to be available from the Club Premium a la carte restaurant further along the terrace. I hope this is an experiment which will be reviewed and withdrawn. The previous arrangements were far superior. This is not from someone who resists change. Other changes at the hotel like the new Club Premium terrace are changes for the better. The evening meal arrangement introduced on Monday 13th February is a change for the worse and needs to be withdrawn.

    “Superb”

Can't fault anything. Polite and friendly staff. Receptionist very helpful and virtually brought us to room door. Bar staff friendly and attentive, smiling and genuinely seemed to wish to provide a higher quality service. Although I gladly left tips, I Just hope they are paid accordingly.

“Really good, could be better with minor improvments”

Stayed in November 2016. Hotel was quiet and we were given a complementary upgrade from a standard sea view room to a sea view suite. Our room was overlooking the adults only pool. As mentioned the hotel was quite in general but can imagine rooms overlooking the main pool are very noisy in peak season. No complaints from our room. It was generous in size and of a good standard. The maid did a 5Star job. Balcony was amazing, fridge didn't work. We wasn't overly impressed with the a la carte restaurant. The staff seemed to really really try (despite being moaned at by all and sundry! - the type of people who thought they were some sort of royalty because they were in the adult only section) but they just seemed to either be understaffed, not trained to deliver service excellence or very nervous? Had to wait far too long to be seated and served and there seemed to be no communication between staff either. A waiter smashed a glass all over the floor but instead of getting it cleaned up bizarrely they just kept telling everyone to be careful as they stepped over it! We found it quite amusing to be honest. (The glass was still there when we left). Based on the rest of the hotel id say this could be a one off. Adults only pool is a pleasure and nice place to be. The buffet restaurant in the premium section was amazing. The food was delicious every day and had a good variety. Certainly up there as one of the better buffets I've had. They also have a chef at each meal time cooking a selection of food on the grill. The staff generally in the buffet restaurant and bar are polite, friendly and work very hard. You may encounter the odd staff member who has the hump which I don't expect but most are brilliant and a credit to the hotel. The Premium reception staff are great and really do understand quality of service. There is a bar/pub inside the adults only area open in the evenings. The decoration in here is very wacky and you have to make the atmosphere yourself but it's a nice place to chill and have evening drinks. The staff here are also a credit to the hotel. Always polite, friendly and work very hard. Overall id say the hotel was what I expected and the room upgrade goes to show they really do try to look after you. The décor needs upgrading in areas and the service level can vary, but with a few minor adjustments this hotel could start edging towards high end rather than top of the mid level range. I'd like to think the hotel is in a transition period and will invest time and money into improving but it could equally be a case that the hotel invested time and money in the beginning and there has been a decline? Who knows. Would stay again if could get a good deal. Thank you all for your hospitality. Side note. The main part of the hotel is really not our idea of a relaxing luxury holiday. We visited the snack bar for lunch and the food was terrible. Toilets were horrible too. Every time we walked through the main hotel, day or night we thanked goodness we were staying in the premium area. We saw around half a dozen cockroaches while walking through and the empty kids pool which was falling to pieced was frankly embarrassing (This may well have been fixed by now). They do have a very nice bar/terrace just past the main hotel reception though. Sorry to be so negative at the end of this review but honestly, you really should only consider staying in the premium area unless you have children.
