    “Lovely hotel”

    Lots of things to do without leaving the hotel. Friendly staff .good sized room .good food .Can't fault them. Good location .easy to get around and get to the town's near by . We would definitely go back .The barcelo group are great in general.

    “Fantastic family holiday”

    My wife and I took our 3 month old on his first holiday in January 2019. The Occidental was recommended to us by the travel agent and she was spot on. The hotel is very good with wonderful staff. The hotel is about 25 minute walk to the Costa Teguise but the walk is lovely if you go along the promenade. The room was perfect with everything we could want. A cot was provided but we ended up not needing it. We were half-board and I cannot fault the amount of food made available for both breakfast and dinner. To be honest, I overdid it on the food most days, but sure its the holidays. All of the staff we met were really nice and helpful. The pools were great, if not a little cold; then again it was January. The bar was fine if not a bit too large. I would highly recommend the Occidental if looking for a family holiday. We hope to return in the future.

    “AI holiday”

    The rooms were basic booked a double bed and got Two singles however called front desk and the singles were transformed into a double, no main light in the bedroom however reading lights both sides of the bed just don't rely on doing your make up in the bedroom! Bathroom was clean enough however a sewage stench was there throughout our stay we requested air freshener from the cleaners who left a bottle for us as it was at full occupancy it was the only solution. Be warned if you close the balcony doors when you're on the balcony (we were shut out for a while) as they lock automatically so don't close them completely it's normal apparently (receptions answer!) the food,,, there's lots of choices and even lactose free milk soya milk at breakfast however food was quite bland but catering for such a huge ray of guest's I understand it. Breakfast was our best meals. the staff,,, cannot fault 99% of them just one moody bar man at the pool cafe just seemed like he really didn't want to be there but we all have off days! Cleaners and restaurant staff work really hard they were all smiley and helpful fantastic four kids there though however getting to certain rooms in like a maze!

    “Girls holiday”

    Hotel was lovely and clean staff was very friendly, the only downfall was the lift it was very small and only one of them for our block, the adult only pool we had to pay for drink and we was AI so we didn't go round there, pour your own drinks was fantastic and wasn't abused, breakfast and Lunch was lovely dinner wasn't so great we was only that 3 nights and ate in the hotel the 1st night, the door in the bathroom was broken we got stuck in there a couple times apart from that All in all was a great holiday and would go back

    An excellent place to stay especially for those want to swim and cycle. Animation team were excellent, food and drinks were good, rooms were clean although a little dark. We had an excellent holiday here.

    “Fantastic family holiday”

To be honest, I overdid it on the food most days, but sure its the holidays. All of the staff we met were really nice and helpful. The pools were great, if not a little cold; then again it was January. The bar was fine if not a bit too large. I would highly recommend the Occidental if looking for a family holiday. We hope to return in the future.
