Guests can also choose à la carte cleaning by selecting the frequency of the service, and can even do it themselves with a cleaning kit provided by the hotel. All common elements in the rooms (telephone, safe, remote control, etc.) will be cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants and marked with our We Care About You label.
Reduced room capacity in common and leisure areas (subject to the recommendations from the health authorities at all times). Please note that according to current legislation in Andalusia, the use of masks is compulsory in all areas except when guests are not moving around (e.g. while sitting at the table on a terrace, on a sun lounger, etc.). There are various points around the hotel with hand sanitising gel dispensers, such as at the hotel, restaurant entrances, all shops, lifts, bathrooms, etc. The common areas feature floor markers that indicate the flow of traffic in order to separate walking areas between guests.
All common areas are disinfected every hour by our hygienist (especially handrails, doorknobs and bathrooms). The main entrance of the hotel has a sanitising mat for disinfecting shoes. All room keys, pens and items shared between clients are disinfected prior to their use.
We will continue offering our buffet service. The use of masks is compulsory, as well as the constant disinfection of hands while selecting food at the restaurant. The buffet has markers indicating the flows of traffic that must be followed. Service will be provided as usual, and social distancing must be maintained between guests and the new layout of tables, which have been organised according to social distancing guidelines. We prioritise single-use items and constantly check shared items, such as tongs, continuously replacing these and disinfecting areas of use.
We also promote the Grab & Go service and show cooking so that guests can enjoy a personalised experience. We offer single-use tablecloths and napkins.
In the Lobby Bar and Snack Bar, tables will be arranged according to social distancing guidelines, menus will be displayed via QR codes and there will be various hand sanitising stations, which also applies to all other services.
On the weekend, we will have live music on the terrace of the snack bar (evening hours), and the performers will be on a stage at a height and distance greater than 2 metres from clients.
We are promoting the use of our app to avoid contact with material and increasing our efforts with regard to our paperless motto. You can view all services, restaurant and Snack Bar menus, room menus (pillow menu, minibar, takeaway, etc.) and hotel hours in the app.
The pools will be open as in previous years, but there will be a space of at least 1.5 metres between groups of sun loungers, which has limited capacity by almost 50% to ensure customer safety and peace of mind. We will continue our hygienist service, which will continuously disinfect the common areas of the pool and the used sun loungers in order to guarantee their proper use and as always, we have communicated that it is not permitted to reserve them. We also inform you that it is compulsory to shower before entering the pool.
Our fitness studio is operating with reduced capacity and in accordance with the compulsory measures from the health authorities. Masks must be worn until beginning exercise, and machines must be disinfected before and after their use. Guests must take a towel from their rooms to place it in the area to be used (towel service and water dispensers will be discontinued to avoid handling by guests).
There are 7 km of beaches within the urban area of Fuengirola. It boasts the Q for Tourist Quality award from the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE) and the Blue Flag certification on all beaches, a testament to the maintenance and quality of its waters and shores.
There is aerial surveillance via drones as well as a rescue, security and lifeguard team made up of 118 professionals. Additionally, there is a free app available to check the occupancy of each beach in real time.
The use of masks is determined by the health authorities at all times. Currently, the use of masks is compulsory in outdoor areas and any enclosed space, in addition to respecting social distancing, as established in the regulations from the Regional Government of Andalusia. Guests must bring their own masks.

We hereby inform you that as per the recommendations from our health and safety advisers, we have eliminated the requirement of wearing gloves in our buffet. Our specialists have indicated that the safest method is frequent disinfecting with hydroalcoholic gel, which is compulsory for anyone serving food from our buffet or coming in contact with any frequently visited area.
At Barceló Hotel Group, we are highly committed to sustainability, so we prefer not to generate plastic waste if not strictly necessary. However, guests may continue using their gloves voluntarily, if desired.
In accordance with Spanish legislation currently in force, the use of masks will be that determined by the health authorities at all times. Masks must be worn at all times, except when in the water or seated on the loungers in the pool area or at a table in one of the restaurants. Guests must bring their own masks. If you require a mask, please contact the reception.

Costa Adeje is spread over four kilometres of beaches and 26.11 km of coastline. There are 8 main beaches that are suitable for swimming. To the north of the La Caleta cluster there are other small natural coves. The most popular beaches are: La Enramada, El Beril, El Duque, Fañabé, Torviscas, La Pinta, Puerto Colón, El Bobo, Las Cuevitas and Troya.
On the nearest beach to the hotel, La Enramada, there is no restriction on capacity but it is advisable to wear a mask and compulsory to keep the minimum safe distance between people that do not live together.
The Adeje council has launched a project whereby a team of citizen awareness officers has a presence on the beaches in order to, among other things, prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the summer months, when the coast is at its busiest. They will also offer advice on other subjects.
