    “Great Stretch of beach”

    Trip March 12-19th 2020 We went to Punta Cana before Covid 19 became a global crisis. Under the global circumstances we were still able to have a great week I’m really happy we decided to go back to this resort. Since we knew the lay of the land of the resort we really felt like we had a good solid week. Loved the premium package that was definitely a good perk. We were able to check in at a nice inclosed lounge area, drinks and snacks for us. That’s where we checked out. The premium also got us into the Pirates waterpark and gave us more exclusive restaurant options. Kid’s enjoyed the water park. Premium also gave u a round of golf & mini golf. Which we didn’t take advantage of. We loved the beautiful stretch (some seaweed but it was cleaned up and the water was very clear) also it’s a great walking beach and you’re about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the outdoor market by the beach which we discovered this time around. Premium also gave us daily Wi-Fi which was amazing especially during the Covid -19 epidemic. It kept us in the loop with work and the media. We were able to watch Justin Trudeau‘s daily press conferences on the beach. So that being said with COVID 19– we noticed before entering any restaurant at the resort the hostess would squirt hand sanitizer on your hands and do it again when you left the restaurant. We also noticed that there was an abundance of people cleaning the resort and specially the bathrooms. Sadly, the resort was getting quieter and quieter by the day. I believe on our last day there were 26 covid cases and now I think they’re over 200. I hope the island can recover from this epidemic. I would hate to hear of the island suffering anymore than it has to. As for our rooms, we had a junior family suite When we first arrived I noticed the room smelled very musty. Having bad allergies I felt I couldn’t stand the smell —but Guest services / front desk let us check out another room to see if we wanted to switch Luckily the room they showed us was also a family junior suite and it smelled much fresher. We were able to switch rooms and lucked out because the building was closer to the main area. Although I have to admit the rooms are starting to look a little worn and tired looking compared to how they looked 4 years ago. The food was ok — some buffets days were better than others. The premium buffet lunches we’re really good as well as the breakfasts. They had good options The steak restaurant and the Japanese restaurants where our favourites. In the future — we hope to do a trip next year. We would love to try the Bavero beach again but a different resort. It’s such a lovely stretch of beach in Punta Cana. And relatively close to the airport.

    “first adults only trip...QUIET”

    This was our first adults only trip. Besides the threat of the covid-19 virus spreading, which scared most of the customers away; this was a very calm setting. 2 PM, bodies are everywhere, people a taking naps....on the beach, around the pool, in the shade etc ....not quite what I was expecting....A little too quiet. If you want a VERY quiet vacation this is great! There was a lack of entertainment around the pool area, it could have used a bit more music, to keep people alive. The entertainment team was awesome, too bad not many customers would participate in their activities. Food was FANTASTIC!!! great buffet, not much reason to go a la carte... The beach is nice and clean, the hotel is extra clean, staff id very friendly and helpful. *** a little more English please*** many staff members a solely Spanish speaking. OVERALL great trip, great food, super quiet, good to be around adults only, no kids running and screaming, just needed a bit more energy around the pool bar to keep people active....I would recommend it !

    “Would NOT recommend this resort”

    I would not recommend this resort for the following reasons: •No food at the bars, pool or beach. •No free Wi-Fi except in casino and it was weak. •Had to pay a lot for Wi-Fi and it was spotty. •The dress coat for the ale-cart restaurant was not passed on to the guests so they were denied entry. •The nightly entertainment started at 10 pm which was too late if you had kids and too late in general. *****DO NOT BOOK THUS RESORT*****

    “Old people only resort”

    The adults only should have been called old people only. The resort was quiet but nothing going on day or night unless you take a train ride to the side where the kids are. All night life and good restaurants are where the kids are. The adults only was like going to a funeral.

    “Can’t wait till next time!!”

    Before we went we were told by all our family and friends don’t drink and be careful! Well when my wife and I arrived I drank all could drink, ate all I could eat and took naps on the gorgeous beach. The pool was fantastic and not once did I think about people back home. They had fantastic shows at night. The drinks and food were delicious. The resort had everything we could want and need! Highly recommend this place. We’ll be going back soon.
