    “Thank you!”

    I can’t believe you refunded my unused nights. I was in crisis. My hotel closed and threw me out. My flights cancelled. I had nowhere to go. I was desperate. I walked in to find 500 Russians swamp your front desk. I waited. And waited. You gave me a room. I was exhausted from all day in lines at the airport. I was scared. Couldn’t get flights out. I booked 2 extra nights in case I had more flights cancelled. Went to airport next day and got out. Today I received a credit for my unused nights. I love you! My own overpriced resort threw me out and kept my money. I’ll stay with you next time👍

    “Huge hotel - ideal for families with kids”

    I did a lot of research before booking this hotel and was slightly worried by a few of the negative reviews but am happy to say that I need not have been worried. This place is ideal for families especially with small kids. We stayed just before the coronavirus epidemic shut everything down so we did have to cut our 10 day trip short by 2 nights. But aside from that - the rooms are great, we had a 2 bedroom family room in the family section, very high standard. The Barcy kids pool is great, and all the pools are brilliant. The beach is stunning. The food is good, buffets are buffets, hard to make a buffet amazing when catering for so many but we always found plenty of choice. The a la carte were good too, tried the Spanish, Mexico, steakhouse twice, Japanese, with the exception of the Mexican which was only ok, they were all very enjoyable. The staff I found very attentive, yes some of them have very little English but I have no Spanish so that's not their fault. The resort is huge but never felt it, very easy to navigate. Went to the Pirate's ship water park too, the kids enjoyed that a lot. So much to do, the kids had a ball. Even though we had to cut our trip short I would definitely return again. The gift shop for nappies etc is very overpriced and quite a long process for checking in, those would be my only negatives.

    “BUGS ALL OVER BED”

    I recently traveled to Barcelo Bavaro Palace in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I had an awful experience. There were bugs all over my bed and they got into my clothes. My whole wardrobe had bugs as well. Then I had to ask to be moved into another room, the staff did not care at all and didn't even apologize. They put me in a worse room after telling me it was an upgrade. I also called the front desk numerous times on 3 occassions and nobody ever came. I couldn't even sleep of go near my bed or relax the entire vacation.

    “Wonderful Vacation”

    I had been to this resort probably 20 yrs ago before the renovations. The service was wonderful from the moment we arrived, they tried to accommodate my room request, as I have back surgery and cannot walk far distances. The resort is huge so there is still alot of walking that needs to be done. Our room was beautiful and clean, everything worked and the view was gorgeous. We had a mini guest services near our tower were a wonderful employee Ivanny Abreu made every attempt to accommodate our dinner reservation request. She was friendly and patient. She also, unbeknownst to us noted on our reservation for the evening we were celebrating my birthday and they sang and bought me a beautiful cake. They also left me a nice keepsake scroll from the resort, wishing me a happy birthday in my room. She was friendly and patient. You can tell she enjoys her job. We also, had a great experience at the spa that was running a special which was very affordable. Food was good and pretty varied. Only disappointments was the weather wasn't that great for the week we were there. We left right before the COVID-19 crackdown. Employees were offering hand sanitizer outside the buffet at all times, which means they were taking things seriously. The only recommendations I would make is that there should be some in room detailed guide about the resort. (there is a book but just hi-lights the resort) Even someone from the resort to explain how to get around, there are alot of shortcuts that we were not aware of until midway through our trip. And lastly they really need to offer free wi-fi. Overall, would definitely return sometime in the near future and would even request the same room, as we had a great location.     “Great time”

    My friends and I went here for spring break. We had a great time and liked everything about the place. We really enjoyed the sports bar, especially our bartenders Angelo, Marcos, and Ronny. They were great bartenders and had great personalities. Food was ok, nothing special. Not the best place for spring breakers but still fun for those who like it a little more low key. Definitely recommend going on the party boat trip you won’t regret it. All in all great experience!

    “Great time”
