    “FABULOUS STAY AT BARCELO”

    Stayed here for one week in May 2018, all inclusive Royal Level, the staff, cleanliness and food are fantastic, the staff are lovely and made our stay fabulous, the food is absolutely wonderful and so was our room. We will definitely be back for another holiday here, would recommend to anyone.

    “5 Star luxury”

    We were very lucky to be upgraded to this part of the hotel, the rooms were so comfortable, fresh towels every day and bathrobe & slippers, the royal level pool was lovely & quiet and we were well looked after by the bar team with complimentary sandwiches and fruit kebabs every day The main buffet restaurant is where we had breakfast and lunch as part of all inclusive it was often busy with lots of kids about but we could not fault the selection of food, fresh and good variety every day We would definitely return to this hotel all the staff we met were friendly and made our stay so enjoyable

    “Excellent Week”

    We had a lovely stay at the Royal Level, breakfast & food in general was fantastic, we had no complaints. The staff at breakfast & Dunas pool bar were very welcoming & made our stay better. We will definitely look at Barcelo brand again.

    “3rd visit & booking up for our 4th visit in September.”

    We just love this place to relax & unwind. As we are Barceló Elite members now it was great to arrive & get our normal warm welcome from Denise at the Royal level reception. That was Denis's last day as she was taking up a new post at the Barceló Rome(we wish her well) :) Our normal room overlooking the sea ( 4020) was available, so we were delighted with this. Lovely touch of a Straw hat & a canvas shopping bag for Mrs C. in the room. Its the wee things that make the Royal level so nice. Good to see the small changes the new manager has made. No fresh fruit or welcome cake now, but beer now in the fridge. The fruit was never eaten. Also we noticed the slight difference in the Royal level restaurant. The salad bar was full of really fresh items & more combinations to choose from. The pool bar run by our Fav. (Juan) has also been graded with better quality glasses. Out with the terrible plastic beakers & in with better quality re-usable plastic glasses. I approve of the new gin glasses, that are huge. :) Carlos was still found to be patrolling the swimming area. No 1 Lifeguard. Breakfast was always great with our usual ommletes & poached eggs cooked to perfection each day. Nice Cava if required if you wanted it. The evening meal was also superb. Fillet steak, Hake, Turkey Breast, mussels, Lamb cutlets were just a few items that were available on the griddle & always 6 other hot options available to the right of the griddle. The desserts were to die for & I was temped most nights, hence the 3KG increase in weight. Thank you Ava, Wee Carlos & the other restaurant staff for some great meals & service.     “Absolute rip off! Will not return!”

    Currently staying at the hotel and am extremely disappointed with my stay... definitely not worth upgrading! This is the second time of staying at the Barcelo Royal level and I won’t be returning. I paid €724 for a room and paid an extra €350 on arrival to upgrade to the Royal. My Mum is joining me for 5 days and I am being charged a further €330! This comes to a total cost of €1404. The EXACT same is offered on the website for €1011. Meaning I am essentially nearly €400 out of pocket. On top of this, my patio door wouldn’t unlock and my mini fridge wasn’t stocked until late in the evening. I’m extremely frustrated that the hotel can not compensate for my loss. As a loyal customer and having stayed in many Barcelo hotels, I am truly disappointed.

Our resort provides various offers that might be available at certain times of the years, depending on our occupancy and availability; therefore the online promotions might not be the same all year around. When making an upgrade directly at the resort you will encounter an upgrade charge, which we have discussed together. In order to make an upgrade from half board to full board we apply an upgrade charge that we would be delighted to discuss with you should you wish to enjoy our all-inclusive option. I would like to take the occasion to apologize for the inconvenience with regards to the patio door which has been assessed and resolved promptly.
