    “Excellent.”

    I have no idea how people can give negative reviews on this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless, the pools and pool area was immaculate. The food was excellent (I’m a fussy eater) but managed to find lots of delicious things to eat. The rooms are nice and the scenery is breathtaking. We went for 1 week from 31st of August ( we weren’t sure if we’d like Tenerife) but upon our return home have already rebooked for 2 weeks next year. Yes you have to pay to use the safe in your room but you do get €10 refunded at the end of your holiday. That’s no big deal (you can’t put a price on losing your items) so better safe than sorry (pardon the pun) The views from every angle are just beautiful and watching the sunset whilst sipping cocktails is the best. Some of the waiters were a bit miserable and some were always smiling. The older bar staff were a bit grumpy and the younger ones happy. The confusing part was that we were all inclusive but there was also something called All inclusive premium so watch what drinks you order as some you have to pay for. Again not a problem we were there to enjoy ourselves and relax both of which were accomplished. Sara and her team are the best and we look forward to seeing you again on the 27th August 2019. Hopefully staying in room 530 again or maybe a suite. Let the countdown commence.

    “Holiday”

    I went away with my daughter and two friends ranging in age from 24 - 67. My friend and I stayed in room 410 which had been refurbished. Tea making facility in room. Shower room and toilet were separate; the glass doors were odd in that they had about a 4” gap at side of the door, probably classed as modern but I would rather have a proper door which shut! We were half board; good choice at breakfast and able to sit outside on the terrace. A fair choice of food for evening meal. We took cash with us for spending money but money was not taken in the hotel. If you weren’t all,inclusive, the reception wanted a credit card where all your expenses were added to your room number. As we didn’t take a credit card, we had to credit our rooms with cash, which was a bit of a pain as we had to keep checking how much credit we had left. There were three swimming pools of a good size plus a baby pool and hot tub. There Were beds around the pools and on the perimeter of the ooolnareacwith fantastic sea views. There were plenty of sun beds and quiet areas to sit. I like sitting near the pool and got up at 7.30am to put towels down to get the best pool beds but you could come down later and get beds further away from the pools. There wasn’t a beach nearby just rocks which people climbed down and went into the sea; looked pretty dangerous to me but quite a few people did so. There was entertainment around the pool with games by entertainment team. One day there was a giant inflatable in one pool which was quite fun; on our last day last Friday there was a man playing the saxophone for a couple of hours playing popular music which was quite relaxing. There was entertainment in the theatre bar at night but we didn’t stay in to watch it. There was a kids club but we stayed outside school holiday so can’t comment on how good it was. There is a supermarket very close by and two bars across the road to hotel; Route 66 which is popular but we didn’t go to. The bar we used was The Courtyard which had a resident singer, karaoke and a drag act which was quite good. We had a lovely holiday and I would recommend this hotel

    “"Dont believe all you read"”

    ... We arrived at about 21.30 and was met at reception and signed in and with given a glass of Cava, all within 15 mins?. Nancy on reception was bloody fantastic, this woman can write upside down and back to front??, she was so helpful, polite, charming we are so grateful for her advice and help, she even remembered our names through out our stay Muchas Gracias Nancy XX...Some of the comments left on TripAdvisor are plain rubbish. People going on about ignorant reception staff, angry waiters, cold food, slippery tiles, rooms not cleaned, builders noise.... See above for reception staff. The waiters were very polite always greeted with a smile and a "Hola" and "Buenos dais"/"Buenos tardes", all staff greet you this way.... The food was very good, HOT and plentiful...I seen a few people slip on the wet tiles around the pool, fancy getting out of the pool wet??. The people I seen slip did not have the appropriate foot wear on, so don't blame the hotel....The rooms are cleaned daily and are spotless....There is building work going on but we didn't hear or see anything to spoil our holiday. We stayed there from the 1st to the 15th September in room 538 with the most fantastic views overlooking the cliffs and harbour, brilliant, we even got a birds eye view of the whales, bonus. The only complaint we had was with the A/C which didn't work, we asked twice to have it fixed but still didn't work but wasn't a problem as we slept with the door open the sound of the waves was great...Over all the Barceló is a great hotel with fantastic surroundings....Please give our thanks to all the wonderful staff because some staff can make or break your holiday, not these though, truly brilliant....Nos vemos de Nuevo pronto..Graham and Alison...

    “Excellent!”

    Have no idea why this has bad reviews we are here now and we absolutely love it! The hotel is so clean it's unbelievable and the pools are spotless the food is absolutely amazing!I can't fault this hotel so far. There are few restaurants and shops next door and the entertainment is great very hard working staff and an amazing view! Will definitely be back

    “We love this place!”

    Our 5th visit now.. we love it! It’s great value for money, a relaxing hotel with amazing views. If you want to get away from the busy resorts it’s perfect here. Had a great pizza in the restaurant opposite- we do half board as there is only one restaurant at the hotel and we don’t drink much. Top tip is get to the restaurant early so you don’t have to queue to get a table outside without queuing!

    “We love this place!”
