    “Lovely Setting but Bathroom Issues”

Location/setting= 5 Stars Staff= 3 stars Food/Buffet=3 stars Bathroom=1 stars Went for 5 nights as a party of 3. Have to be honest don't normally do AI holidays (so not use to the set up) but fancied some winter sun. Stayed Half board. The resort itself is very nice. The Views from the pool area are fantastic. I like to Swim and the main pool was good could actually swim in it and fine temp in December. Lots of sun loungers. Jacuzzi was freezing which rendered it a bit pointless. Bar area has nice views reasonable service. Not use to AI buffet TBH I found the food repetitive and bland. We use it for lunch and went out in the evening to los gigantes. On the third day there seemed to be lots of new guests and breakfast was a joke. People fighting for table and no order. Had to queue 20 mins to get an omelette and I found the experience stressful and not relaxing for a holiday. It was worst than the Bakerloo line in the morning. For lunch the best option is the salads & Ice cream. The hot food same as in the evening, lots of options but all a bit tasteless. In room 502- Had a number of issues. The internet & TV channels didn't work at times. Major issue with the bathroom. Shower wasn't draining & flooded the bathroom up till the door when in use soaking bath towels and anything on the floor. Reported the issue THREE times but wasn't fixed. Finally the big shower head wouldn't work unless on scalding hot and the smaller shower head only had good pressure on very hot and little pressure for colder temps. Basically you had no option but to have a very hot shower. Not ideal! The room also had no bathrobes. Again requested & none were put in the room(minor issue but does advertised itself as luxury resort )

    “28th Nov - 5th Oct 2019”

Reception - Current renovations going on that we knew nothing about. Very noisy and found it hard to speak to and hear reception staff. Lack of toilets. Room - 1st room allocated 311 currently has work going on outside, and there is a lot of noise from the diggers. Immediately complained and got moved to 467 at the other side of hotel. Room was a decent size, very modern and clean, with balcony looking straight onto the Atlantic Ocean. Restaurant- recently refurbished, however there is still renovations going on outside restaurant so it was very noisy at meal times. Long queues to get into restaurant in the evening. Breakfast really good, plenty of choices, with fresh omelettes and eggs being made to order. However the butter machine kept breaking down and long queues for coffee due to them breaking down as well. Lunches and dinner choices were not great. Very repetitive. Had to eat out a few times.Restaurant had flies everywhere, crawling all over the food. Was told this had only recently happened but there didn't seem to be anything getting done about it. Pool - 3 large pools, plenty of beds, clean enough but again flies everywhere. Had to buy repellent to spray on us as we lay on beds. No poolside toilets. Pool Bar - We were premium all inclusive so had full choice of food and drink menu, and everything was very nice. Very clean, apart from those pesky flies again. Lounge bar - very nice, and we were well looked after by Diego. Entertainment - typical type of shows that you get in all hotels. Surrounding area - Generally a bit run down. Walked into Los Gigantes, Plays Del Arena and Puerto Santiago and they could really do with a good clean up. The Courtyard across from hotel had a few good entertainment acts on, and we had a few meals in a restaurant called San Francisco that were very nice and not expensive. Overall we did enjoy our stay, but due to main meal choices and surrounding area I don't think we would return.

“Reduction of Quality compared to last year”

When cleaning the terrace the cleaning staff did not close rhe terrace door. Ifound it open when coming back. Breakfast: long queues for coffee, you find an empty table when you leave your table for fetching something. Personnel seems to be very stressed. It is no longer a high quality hotel.

    “Great Holiday!”

We had a marvellous time at this hotel. Views to die for, great food and all the staff proved friendly and helpful. we went all inclusive and the range of drinks including cocktails and spirits was fine We didn't see a need to go premier inclusive. we had a deluxe superior on the 9th top floor with a great sea view and fully modernised. Entertainment was ok with the animation team providing the fun and games around and in the pool daily. We spent evenings in the pool bar and quite bar at the side which is partially open and more than adequate. as for disruption it was kept to a minimum with the new reception being opened while we were there. work on the walkway on the sea view side of the hotel was only evident if you looked for it and was of no concern.Any music fans will appreciate route 66 the bar across the road if you want a change but all in all this is a first class 4 star hotel, we will be back!
