    “Gorgeous setting and really nice staff”

    We stayed at Allegro for one week in March 2017. Two tweens and two adults. We had a great time. The food was better than we expected, and in fact the Mexican selections were incredible. Fresh salsas and grilled meats and plaintains every day. Go offsite for the guac, though! Lots of fruit, good drinks. I wouldn't bother with the a la carte restaurants if you have kids who don't like to sit and wait. The Mexican one is in a nice location - same as the lunch buffet space. The beds were comfy. We got an extra single bed delivered to the room because the beds are fullsize, which is a bit tight for a week-long stay for four people. We were on the second floor and could hear people talking in the adjacent room due to the gap between the wall and the thatched roof. Bring earplugs. Air worked well, shower nice, minfridge always stocked, towels fresh every day. The grounds and pools are AMAZING. Really nice beach loungers. We walked across the road to rent a car at MexCar Rentals for $40. Definitely visit the Punta Sur National Park at the end of the island for some incredible snorkeling and fish tacos (go to Tikin Xic). We will absolutely stay at Allegro Cozumel again. Very family friendly.

    “Second time even better than the first!!!!”

    We (extended family of 12) just returned this past weekend from our second visit to this resort. If you have children, GO! If you love to get out in the water to snorkel or scuba dive,GO! While it has a great water area for children, if you want a quieter experience there are other places to go. The resort never feels busy (though fully booked) and if you want quiet away from others, its possible. From the hammocks on every porch, to the super comfortable beds, to the renovations done since last years visit, we can't say enough. The rooms are very clean and any issue was looked after almost immediately. All the staff are SUPER friendly, and it was great to see familiar faces again. Ask for Olga if you want an incredible massage- 4 visits to her by various members of the family didn't disappoint- we wanted to take her home! The food is good and the drinks (top shelf available all the time) are better:) The Japanese Tepanyaki was the best a la carte we thought. I raved about it last time, and over the last 3 days have told countless friends that this is the place to go. We will be back next year Rafael! Kelly M

    “Absolutely Amazing”

    I have stayed at three resorts in Cozumel but twice at this one and it is the best. The food is amazing, the rooms are each in their own little buildings which gives the place character, and it is very spacious. The staff are all amazing and friendly and helpful. The snorkeling in front of the hotel is not the best, but you can still see some pretty cool things and you can also go on tours right from the resort to some of the most beautiful reefs in Cozumel, or you can drive a few minutes down to some of the free beaches. The activities staff were very entertaining and fun to talk to (especially Manuel, Giovanni, and Noe. I will be back as soon as I can. I love this place.

    “Great family vacation”

    We just returned from a week at Allegro Cozumel. The resort is as advertised. the Pirate playground was a big hit with our boys , 5 and 7. The air hockey table was also a big hit after dinner. We saw 2 shows during the evening in our week there which were really fantastic. I enjoyed the snorkelling right off the beach and saw lots of different fish. The room was modern, clean, and well airconditioned...with a very comfortable bed and pillow. The staff were all very nice. The buffet was good with a varied selection. We took a day trip to the Atlantis submarine which was an excellent, unique experience. The only slight disappointment was that many components of the waterplayground (water guns etc were broken). My boys didn't seem to mind though. Overall, it was a very relaxing family vacation. Just what we needed!

    “2nd visit”

    Absolute LOVE this resort!!!! Bare with me, this is long! We visited last year in April and this year in March. There were many more guest this visit but it wasn't uncomfortably crowded. It was nicer in some ways to have more people around. I've stayed in the First Club area (my in-laws are timeshare owners) both visits. Karina (the manager of First Club, I think) is wonderful! She knew we had 3 people in our room (one king bed) so she made sure we had a roll away when we arrived. There was no charge, no hassle of setting it up or making the bed. It was great! I planned to just share the bed (with my 2 sons) but not having to gave me much better sleep! The roll away was actually pretty comfortable. Thank you so much, Karina, for all the extra special hospitality. My 2 favorite bartenders at First Club were José Luis and Manuel. Both are great so I can't pick a favorite. Very personable and great drinks!!! Drinks at all the bars were good (adult and kids) but José Luis's and Manuel's were the best. The food..... It wasn't as good this time as last year but I expect that is because it was busier and they were having to hustle more. The food was decent and we ate at the resort for about half our meals. My son LOVED LOVED LOVED the lady that makes omelets to order. He normally isn't an egg eater but now he is requesting I make them at home! He insisted on tipping her every morning and she genuinely thanked him, in Spanish, but I always told him what she said. I know she spoke or at least understood some English. It was heartwarming to hear someone else address my 9 year old with such warmth. The pools were clean and welcoming. Beach was neat and beautiful. The kids' area has been improved quite a bit but we don't use it, we stay together all vacation. Beach volleyball was my teenager's favorite. The nighttime shows and games are fun. The man that hosted bingo at First Club and then at the theatre a couple days later was very entertaining. The young lady that hostesses (or seats guests) at the buffet restaurants was very nice. I wish I could remember her name. (Note for management: She looks early 20s, normally works 6 days a week but is currently working 7). The First Club crew even brought my son a birthday cake on the evening of his birthday! And called the off site restaurant that they knew we were going to to let them know it was his birthday. We were spoiled at the restaurant and even called by name thanks to Karina!!! Bottom line - I wish I could stay longer and CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN!

    “Great family vacation”
