    “Really good break”

Spent five nights at this hotel. It was my second visit & the last time was six years previous.I found it much busier, but exceptionally clean and well run. The beds were really comfy. The food was as expected, something for everyone and well signed and being a vegetarian, it really helped. The resort is really vibrant, with plenty to do for everyone and within easy walking distance. I found the staff helpful and I really enjoyed my stay.

    “Room with unexpected visitors”

We stayed in the room with our 2 year old daughter. When we found ants in our room and asked for new room at the reception for different room, staff offered to spray them with detergent first (like it could fix the issue). Room standard - felt like travelling in time back to 1990. Old,cheap crappy paintings, corrosion on bathroom mirror and all appliances in the bathroom, old wooden window which helped us to enjoy noise from the bar every night. Food, waiting staff and location was very good.

    “Great location, huge site!”

This is a little after the stay, but myself and my wife stayed in the Barcelo in Cala D'or in October 2016. Starting with the location, it's a great spot. It's 15 mins walk to the centre of Cala D'or and about 20 minutes to the main harbour. Even the Main Street outside the hotel has a lot of shops, bars and restaurants for those who don't take the all-Inc option. The hotel has a private beach which is stunning, and would recommend spending a couple of days down there. The hotel itself is a large hotel split into blocks. We were situated in the block adjacent to the pool area and just up the drive from the main bar, there is an ample car park for those that do car hire. Reception is clean and large. There are three main bars. A beach bar, a main bar and a pool bar. All well stocked. A gripe would be that the pool bar closes early. The room is fairly small, but clean. Arguably it needs a touch of modernization as well. The all Inc option, is fine. The food is standard all Inc fair. The hotel did have a themed Mallorcan food night where the food was great, the rest of the time, the food was standard. Nothing to complain about, but nothing out of the ordinary. The staff were very good and the eating areas were very clean. You could get snacks from the beach bar and Pool bar which was a nice touch. What I would add was that the hotel was excellent value.

    “3* Hotel in good location”

Dated hotel that is reasonable value for money! Staff work hard and do their jobs but not many smile I'm afraid! I found sleep quality to be poor as walls paper thin! Bring earplugs! Make sure you don't get a room on 1st floor as restaurant above you is unbearable noise from 7am to 10.30pm as chairs constantly bang on tiled floor! They really ought to sort rubber fittings to their chairs! To add to the fun we got two young girls next door that came in drunk each night at 4am! All this and I requested a quiet part of the hotel prior to arrival! They clearly couldn't be bothered to respond to my request! Entertainment is pretty lame, dated and uninspiring and lasts from 10-11pm only when AI ends! Food is average to good on some days! Very little to do if weather bad! Wanted to go to sauna but it was broken! Staff keep hotel quite clean but you can't legislate when an Eastern European guy washes his kids potty in male loo on ground floor despite my incredulous look pretended to not understand!Overall I guess you pay for what you get but beware! We sadly won't return to the Barcelo chain!

    “Great holiday ”

Just come back from a great week from the 6th to 13th September, brilliant location , beach on your door step , shops , shops and more shops right outside the hotel , and tons of places to eat if you choice too , The hotel was very clean , the domestic staff work so hard and very polite, The restaurant staff work none stop , very polite and courteous, lacked a we bit of warmth though , maybe there trained to just get on with the job in hand, and not to chat to much to the visitors haha Disappointed they switch the tea and coffee machine's off at lunch and tea time , didn't get that bit , first couple of days were a little hit and miss with the food, but we certainly didn't go hungry, then bam , it got brilliant , The pool was very cold , but we did have a few of overcast days The sea was actually warmer , the beach is great right on your door step Rooms were fine , basic but good enough the bed was so comfy , shame they were twin beds though The entertainment team work hard , but seemed to focus on the same people, The night entertainment was very dated and not our cup of tea , but we got drinks in the bar then went to the fun pub that was a minute walk away , so all in all it was a brilliant holiday , would I stay again , definitely if I was to go back to the same place , but we like to try some where new each time
