    “Excellent Hotel”

    This was our first family holiday with our little boy and we were impressed with the hotel. We arrived earlier then check in time but there was a luggage store for us to use. When we got to our room the size was a little disappointing. We needed a cot for our child and once this was up in the room we were very limited on space. My husband went to the desk to ask if we could have a room that accommodated us better and we were given another room with more then ample space with the cot up. The room had tea / coffee facilities, a small fridge and a safe (deposit required prior to use). There are a few pools to choose from. We used the splash park and the children's pool which were both wonderful for our son. My only criticism would be there are limited spaces for sun beds around the splash park area. We didn't use the kids club as our son wanted to be in the water most of the holiday but the kids club looked like it catered for different ages. The evening entertainment was excellent for children. Our son loved the disco in the evenings. The restaurant had a wide choice of dinners. There was plenty of choice for us and our son. The staff were efficient with cleaning and offering further drinks. The spa was beautiful. I had a massage and could not recommend it enough. The staff at the hotel were amazing. They are all so hardworking and friendly and a credit to the hotel.

    “Nice hotel but cold food”

    We have just been on a family (2 adults and 1 child, 15 years) holiday to the Occidental Menorca on All Inclusive basis. The resort is obviously more widely visited by Italians, Spanish & French although there were several English families at the hotel. Didn't notice any Germans. It is a nice, smallish hotel in Punta Prima. Punta Prima itself is Very small, about 5 restaurants, a small supermarket, pharmacy and a couple of souvenir shops. The beach isn't very big either. I do like to go for a wander after dinner and therefore this was a problem. The hotel is nice but it does have some issues. I'll start with the positives though; -small -very friendly staff -enthusiastic entertainment team -good size bedrooms (stayed in a family room that was 2 rooms with interconnecting sliding door) -Very nice spa with sauna, steam, water jets, various different showers, jacuzzi (was additional cost for this but worth it) -plenty of sun beds always available -Nice pools & pool area clean -TV in rooms had BBC 1, BBC2, ITV, ITV4, ITVbe & SkyNews -only half and hour from the airport Negatives; -The food would be my biggest moan. Everything was cold or warm at best. I'm not sure if the hot-plates weren't working but they really didn't keep any food hot. We also had chicken and fish that were raw in the middle and therefore not edible. -The beds are rock hard!! -we weren't overly impressed with the evening entertainment, a lot of it was the entertainment staff dancing and/or lip sinking to songs. Other people did seem to enjoy it so perhaps it's just not our taste. Maybe a couple of nights it could be geared up more for adults? -often got the wrong drinks i.e. Ordered 2 diet cokes/coke lights and a still water (in Spanish) and got 2 normal cokes (not much use for a T1 diabetic) and a fizzy water! -a lot of the entertainment was in Spanish, French and Italian with only a bit in English so sometimes difficult to understand fully -our room could have been cleaned better i.e. A couple of days left without a bath mat, another day no spare toilet roll and only a few sheets left on the roll and an empty bottle of their shower gel left on the holder for the last few days. -my husband also said that in the men's toilets near the restaurant the soap dispenser was empty the whole time we were there. Don't get me wrong, we have had a nice time but a few changes would made the world of difference.

    “Our best family holiday so far!!!”

    We hadn't booked to stay at this hotel, we arrived at our original hotel to be told they were fully booked and moved us to this one. We had booked a 3* star hotel as that was all we could budget for and when we ended up here we couldn't believe it. The hotel is very well kept with lovely grounds and pools. Our room was spacious and very clean it included a fridge, telephone, hairdryer and plenty of toiletries. Paid €20 deposit for a safe which we got back when we checked out. The food is plentiful with lots of choice never any queuing or waiting for a clean table. The restaurant staff were very efficient, friendly and hard working. We didn't use the spa so can't give any comments but it did look lovely. Only went to the evening entertainment once and it was very good but we all preferred to walk down to the beach of an evening so done that instead. We all loved the pools there was always sun beds available and at some point in the day it was only the 3 of us in the pool. What makes this hotel is the staff. They are all very hard working and friendly from the cleaners, the grounds man, the porter, the pool bar staff, the restaurant staff, the entertainment team and reception staff all working above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable. What was nice was that you could be left in peace and do as much or as little as you like with no excursions or entertainment shoved in your face. Yes by the main pool the entertainment team did but on team games in the pool but you didn't have to take part if you didn't want to or just move by the quieter pool nearer the top of the complex. They really are just trying to please everyone. A few shops and restaurants down the road towards the sandy clean beach, with lots of life guards. We did all have a great time here and our 7 year old son is already asking to go back next year.

    “We were won over!”

    We were 4 adults looking for a quiet week away and were pretty alarmed when having settled down for the afternoon by the pool (loads of room, plenty of sunbeds) along came a bunch of 20 somethings armed with microphones urging us to participate in various sports and leisure activities. Be clear, it is a "families with young children" hotel to a far greater extent than we had imagined. Still, we enjoyed our stay, the facilities are clean, spacious and well maintained, the food is really very good (for large scale catering). The Spa facility is excellent. Above all what made our stay was the staff who were always helpful and friendly and really did win us over. For a change of scenery, the hotel is a 5 minute downhill walk from a small beach, some shops, car hire, a pharmacy and 4 or 5 restaurants. Two downsides: the lunch menu at the bar was very limited and by 16.00 hrs the pools were warm and "sticky" (so we tended to head for the sea just down the road).

    “Nice hotel”

    The walls in the rooms are thin like paper, I could hear people talking and children screaming from the rooms next door/over. The rooms are clean and new, but we didn't like that the walls to the bath room were made of glass and therefore see through. Nice and helpful staff. Nice location. Best for families, would not recommend it to couples.
