    “Wonderful Stay”

    I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel. The staff are oustanding, the drinks fabulous and the food really good. The view from the Premium terrace is breathtaking. Feeling wonderfully relaxed after our visit.

    “Went for a week for Honeymoon, felt really let down”

    My wife and I stayed in this hotel for our Honeymoon on the 7th June 2017 for a week. As it was our honeymoon, we decided to splash out and went with all the bells and whistles all-inclusive in the adult only resort. The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are nice, the staff where good and cleaned the room twice a day which was great. However, the part we had a problem with was the food. We felt let down by this. Particularly on our second last day. We went for lunch in the VIP type section for adults only. The food looked nice and we went for lunch and got a breaded chicken fillet and salad for lunch. As my wife cut into hers and was about it to her chicken, we noticed it was completely raw on the inside. (Not undercooked, just not cooked at all). I checked my own and it was pink in the middle. I was not happy about this at all, as my wife is 7 months pregnant and this would have been so bad and could have posed a serious danger to the baby. I reported this to the server who said “Ok” then took the plate and then began serving other tables. Not satisfied with the response I then went to reception to complain, I explained everything they gave a very un-interested apology and said that they would report it to the relevant person. However, we never heard anymore. Later that evening we said we would try the restaurant in the hotel as we had such a bad experience at the buffet for lunch. We ordered the beef and my wife explained that she is 7 months pregnant (even though it was pretty obvious) and it needs to be well done as she cannot eat undercooked meat of any kind. However, both our beef came out dripping in blood so we had to send it back. I wish I could say these where our only bad experiences we had with the food but between all of the serving areas they had we have to check everything all week and things looked under cooked and unappetising. This let the experience down for us. It was our Honeymoon and we wanted to splash out and enjoy it but the food let us down and to be frank was very dangerous and when we reported it, none of them seemed to care.

    “Relaxation”

    Great place to relax. The premium facilities were spread out a bit, which we found a bit strange. We also found the main buffet much better for choice of food rather than the premium restaurant, although the premium restaurant surroundings were lovely.

    “A lovely way to spend a week.”

    Yet again, this was our fifth stay, the Occidental Jandia ticked all the boxes. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, put on half a stone each but managed a good tan. The staff, behind the bars, waiting at tables and pouring gin and tonics with a very generous hand, are what really make this hotel. The hotel itself could do with a lick of paint, the food wasn't quite as good as last time and we did miss the a la carte(who can be bothered to find out which night the restaurant is open and book each day before 5.00pm?) but we will be back.
