    “Memorable vacation”

    We have been to so many resorts or hotels at Caribbean countries for the past ten years and Occidental Punta Cana is the best of them in the area of food, room and activities. The location is very secured as well.

    “A memorable birthday experience....living la vida loca for a few days.”

    I spend a few days in paradise, the experience was more than I thought it would be... pleasurable, comfortable, beautiful, amazing place at a great price. Service was everything that you desire on a dream vacation and the location in relation to the airport, beach was perfect. I had a wonderful time with friends.

    “Interesting experience, would not return.”

    The good: the beach is impeccable and the entertainment staff does their best to entertain guests. The buffet has a large variety of different food and there is food available at every hour of the day. The bad: we were given two room cards, one did not work. When asking if we could change it, we were told to stand in the one-hour line for the front desk. There was plastic trash in our room that the cleaner hat overseen when we arrived. The drinks are pretty much disgusting, cheap and randomly mixed. The waiting time at the pizza stand at night (where only one employee was stationed with a long queue of guests waiting ?!!) was about an hour of standing. Most of the staff does not smile because they are simply overworked with too many guests. The toilet in our room was not properly attached to the wall, or the silicone would come off and we were afraid the whole thing would break down at some point. The worst: the door handle from the inside of the bathroom would not open the door, so with only one keycard, that my partner left in the room so I would have light while he went out, I was locked inside the bathroom because the door fell shut and had to scream for help so that he could hear me from outside our room, which he could not get into, because the second key card was not working. Being locked inside a bathroom is not my idea of a relaxing holiday. Imagine the two of us would have been locked inside the bathroom, with us having one of the last rooms in the highest floor ? It could have taken hours for someone to find out we are in need of help. Thankfully my partner managed to arrange a third card to get into our apartment and open the bathroom door from the outside for me, so that I could get out. Upon hearing about the ordeal, all the staff did was provide us with a late check out. I did not imagine a hotel with as many stars as this to be so incredibly disappointing. If I can give you a recommendation, stay somewhere else.

    “a very very nice vacations”

    my family and i, we enjoyed the hotel a lot, they have everithig for you every day to stay in the hotel, in the pool area or in the beach area, any of those are very good, the staff are pros, respecfull and polite, specially in the main restaurant the alcazar buffet, the hotel is very clean, the room is nice, quite big for 2 or 5 persons, the gardens are nice, the pool and the beach area are clean, the beach is quite and very good for childrens, there are security staff arround the the beach all the time, if you want to go with your cople or your entire family there are a lot of stuff to do, so take your bags and enjoy your trip.
