    “Good relaxing holiday”

We spent a week in September here. We arrived about 9:30pm and were offered to get something to eat in Restaurant first before checking in which was good as it is quite a long bus journey from airport roughly about 90 minutes. We were in block 8 which proved a bit difficult to find as it is at the back of the hotel but was nice and quiet at night time although entertainment ended about 11:00pm. Room was fine with sun beds on terrace was cleaned regularly, walls are a bit thin!! We found the food was generally good we had the early sitting, plenty of variety for everyone, sometimes no signs on food and not marked for anyone with allergies. Bottles of water, wine and sangria for your table which was very good. We spent our days on the beach which is absolutely beautiful golden sand and clear blue sea. Hill is very steep so bus is great for getting up and down the hill and taxis are €3 to €4 so worth it rather than climbing. Entertainment was good with a variety of different shows each night. We had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

    “Not all inclusive at all.”

Felt more like a hostel or a half board basis. We had to pay for water it was hotel policy that only one 2litre bottle of water be given on day of arrival. If we wanted any water we had to purchase it had no facility to have a drink in the evening past 11pm. I am disabled and diabetic, I had to climb 98 steps to our room and we asked for a disabled access room they said they would give to us the next day as we arrived late.... However that never happened. Nowhere in the hotel information did it mention rooms were not accessible by lift. We had to carry our own cases there was no concierge. The food was bland and covered in flies, you could take your drinks out of the restaurant. We had security called on us because we played out music on Volume 2 but the next door neighbours were rowdy and noisy at stupid o'clock (3am). Don't take your children it would cost you a fortune you have to pay one to two euros to play one game of air hockey or pool. There were no snacks available in the bar areas unless you paid for them. (A small standard packet of crisps will set you back 1.70 euros). Watch your feet on the bottom of the pool as there are tiles missing. You have to take a taxi to the local shops if you are not good at walking up hills. I would never go back. More like a three star if being generous. If you want a drink after 11pm.... You're stuck. Also they turn off the hot drinks machine at 11pm too. The toilets behind the pool bar overflowed on a daily basis. The use of the safe in your room sets you back 3euros per day and the use of an iron and ironing board will set you back 20euros and you have to fetch it and return it yourself. Money grabbing at every opportunity.

    “Good for a short stay”

All inclusive on the drinks and food was average. Food was mainly luke warm. Pool and rooms and people were very lovely. Spa not worth the money in my opinion. Location to the beach was down a big hill so you have to be fit to go explore! Sea view in the rooms is ages away and you look at the deep ocean, no waves to be seen as on a steep hill. I would recommend for 3-5 night stay but no longer as things can be a bit boring after a while!

“Noce hotel not a 5* though”

Overall it was a good hotel and enjoyable holiday however there were things which let it down. Now these are things which affected my holiday and you may not be bothered by them. If I start with negative and it you can get past these you will be fine;. 1) Steps - this hotel is not great for families with pushchairs as there is not lift access to all floors and you have to carry the pushchair up and down steps to get to the lifts. 2) There were ants in the room which isn't necessarily something which can be avoided, we were on the 2nd floor which was unusual and they were in the wardrobe too 3) TV - it is clear this hotel caters for German and Spanish. Whilst you don't spend a lot of time in the room it is helpful to have more than 3 channels to entertain the children whilst you are trying to get ready or get things done. Those channels being BBC 1, BBC world news and flim 4 which kept dropping out and didn't have the most appropriate films on there. 4) Reception - found it difficult to communicate with the staff as they didn't seem to speak fluent English which hindered asking questions or getting an answer or help. 5) The Hill !! Now we read the reviews and thought OK it cant be that bad,,, How wrong were we! If you have walking difficulties or a pushchair this hill is not for you. It is very steep, the only thing I would say is there isn't a real need to go down the hill to the shops as the centre isn't that good and you can get the bus to the beach from the hotel to save the walk. 6) It is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that doesn't have a room available to book for checking out if you cant keep your own (which no-one seemed able to do) you had to get ready in the spa, which is great with a child and it being warm. Helpfully the receptionist when queried where we were supposed to get ready with cases in the store room said well take what you need. Thanks for that! There are little thigs which would improve the star rating of the hotel, the pool tiles are cracked and needs some maintenance bit overall very clean. The Pool itself is great for kids and there is a large area which is shallow for them to play in. The playground is ok, gives a few minutes of entertainment, although could do with some updating for smaller children. There were plenty of sun beds and towels were removed if they were used for some time. Food was good and there were plenty of options, the small children's area was a nice touch. Had a good stay, wouldn't come back though
