Acua Water Park, Fuerteventura’s unique and unbeatable water park
Ever-popular with tourists and one of the biggest cities on Fuerteventura, Corralejo stands out in the north of the island for several good reasons. In addition to its enchanting historic centre and proximity to the impressive Dunas de Corralejo Natural Park, the city can boast of being one of the main ports used to transport passengers to the nearby Lobos Island and to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote. And as if that weren’t enough, Corralejo is also home to Acua Water Park, the only water park on Fuerteventura.
It has a fantastic selection of 17 attractions spread across 25,000 square metres and a visit to this theme park means guaranteed fun for both adults and children in a peaceful, safe environment. Food services are dotted across the park and it also puts on entertaining activities throughout the day. Corralejo’s water park promises an enjoyable day out for the whole family (or with friends) in an unbeatable location surrounded by nature.

A virtual tour of Fuerteventura’s water park
Once you’re inside the park, it’s time to choose between a vast range of fun options. Adults could start things off at a leisurely pace by hopping on a ride like the Slow River: sit on an individual or shared float and bob along a circular route on slow-moving currents. Or why not experience the famous wave pool? Once you’re in the swing of things, the next logical step is to head to the soft slides, six open slides that are 16 m high and 70 m long where team races are now an established tradition. Next you could try the Zig Zag slides, the Dark Cave—a route in total darkness—and, finally, the Kamikazes: the scariest challenge in the park, these slides are 14 m high and virtually straight. In terms of the adult atractions, don’t miss the Rapids—the wild version of the Slow River—and the Castle, where you can climb to the top of the towers and leap into the pool below.
And what about families with children?
Acua Water Park has a kids’ zone in the heart of the park for younger visitors. It has rides suitable for their age group, such as mini slides, mini soft slides, mini-golf and a children’s lake with water jets and a thousand bright colours to discover. And best of all, there is a sun lounger area just metres away so parents can relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest while still keeping an eye on their children. The park is perfect for families travelling to Fuerteventura.
Acua Water Park also has several restaurants and ice cream parlours, and a gift shop where you can buy small souvenirs and even order a photo as a reminder of your day.
Events at Acua Water Park in Corralejo
Finally, Acua Water Park organises special events that are run throughout its opening months. For example, there are opening and closing day parties with special prices, surprising activities and games, and a huge foam party in the middle of the wave pool.
It also runs special events such as the Meeting for People with Disabilities, the La Oliva Family Race, the Euro per Kilo, the Summer Party and Canary Islands Day. Live concerts, parties and prize draws or special promotions take centre stage during these events so it’s worth keeping your eye out and checking the website.
