Itinerary
Stop at: Plaza de las Pasiegas
One of the busiest places in Granada is the Plaza de las Pasiegas. A trapezoid-shaped square that lies between the gates of the Cathedral and the Plaza de Bib-Rambla, and which has been a meeting point since its beginnings.
The Plaza de las Pasiegas arose at the end of the 17th century when the Colleges of San Miguel, dedicated to the education of the children of the Moors, and Santa Catalina, dedicated to preparatory studies for university and ecclesiastical careers, were demolished.
Stop at: Plaza de Castillejos
Stop at: Centro Federico García Lorca
The Federico García Lorca Centre is a cultural institution devoted to the study and research into the life and work of the Granada poet Federico García Lorca (1898-1936), as well as to the dissemination of his literary production and the conservation of his documentary legacy. It is also a space conceived to house all kinds of contemporary artistic manifestations, preferably those related to the author. It is managed by a consortium made up of the Ministry of Culture of the Spanish Government, the Department of Culture of the Andalusian Regional Government, the Granada City Council and the Granada Provincial Council. Its headquarters are located in Granada's Plaza de la Romanilla, in the heart of the city's historic centre.
Stop at: Puerta Real
Puerta Real de España is a historic urban area in the Spanish city of Granada, autonomous community of Andalusia, strictly speaking it is the crossroads between the beginnings of the streets Reyes Católicos, Recogidas, Ganivet, Mesones, Acera del Darro and Acera del Casino. Popularly it is the reference point of the city centre. Administratively, it is the boundary between the neighbourhoods of Realejo-San Matías and Centro-Sagrario.
Stop at: Acera del Darro
The Carrera del Darro is one of the most beautiful walks in Granada, open to the right of the Darro, with its small river below, crossed by two brick and stone bridges called Cabrera and Espinosa, which connect the Churra quarter, between the river and the Alhambra forest, and the Almanzora quarter, which stretched as far as the Gomérez slope.
