We invite you to discover Lorca's first home in the village of Fuente Vaqueros and the beautiful corners of the Vega Granadina, a journey through the rural Andalusia of the last century and the changes suffered in the village after the civil war and the recovery of historical memory.
Discover what the family home was like, the streets and corners that formed part of Lorca's early childhood, paying attention to the places that nowadays honour his figure and that in the past were part of the context and everyday life of the poet, delving into some of the stages of his life in which the concept of ''village'', social commitment and native culture was most influential.
We will visit, among other places, the house/museum where he was born, the centre of Lorca's studies which was once the village school and we will walk through some of the places mentioned by Lorca in his most referential works.
Our guides, professional and passionate about his figure and the history and the city he lived in, will accompany you to follow in his footsteps through the different corners of the Vega that marked the poet's life.

Itinerary
Stop at: Plaza de las Pasiegas
One of the busiest places in Granada is the Plaza de las Pasiegas. A trapezoidal-shaped square that lies between the gates of the Cathedral and the Plaza de Bib-Rambla, and which has been a meeting point since its beginnings.
The Plaza de las Pasiegas arose at the end of the 17th century when the Colleges of San Miguel, dedicated to the education of the children of the Moors, and Santa Catalina, dedicated to preparatory studies for university and ecclesiastical careers, were demolished.
Stop at: Gran Vía de Colón
Gran Vía de Colón is a street in Granada, the main artery of the city centre.
Its construction at the end of the 19th century entailed the demolition of 20% of the then surface area of the city.1 It was urbanised between 1895 and 1934.1 It incorporates along its route a number of outstanding examples of eclectic architecture. In 1961 the Post Office building at the head of the street was demolished and replaced by the Plaza de Isabel la Católica. In the following 1970s and 1980s various historicist buildings were replaced by decontextualised blocks of flats.
Stop at: Avenida de la Constitución
Stop at: Casa/museo de Federico García Lorca en Valderrubio
The building that houses the Federico García Lorca House Museum in Valderrubio is a traditional two-storey farmhouse, built in 1915 on the foundations of the old house that Federico's father converted into the family's rural home between 1905 and 1909.
While living in this house Federico went to school and saw the first travelling theatre, which awakened his interest in this genre, the seed of his future creative vocation. Until 1925 it was also the place where they spent their summers.
Stop at: Parque de Mariana Pineda
