Visiting a ranch where fighting bulls are bred in the Madrid area is a highly recommended, educational activity that takes place in the heart of nature. Discover the day-to-day life of the bulls, how they cope in their habitat, the care they receive on the farms, the purpose of the breeding of this brave breed and the selection of the bravest bulls are aspects that will no longer be a secret after this half-day excursion.
The activity takes place in a simple way, starting from the centre of Madrid (Plaza de Oriente) and from there you will travel by the means of transport provided by the organisation to the pasture where the cattle ranch is located. Once there, you will be taken on a tour of the farm to see the animals in freedom on a large expanse of land. You will be surprised to see the real size of the bulls and how imposing they are when you are close to them... During the walk, the guide will share information about their upbringing, the tasks necessary for the animals' day-to-day lives, what is done in the bullring... After this visit, your gaze will change as you admire these imposing animals that are true icons of Spain.
Everything you need to know
- Departures: Every Thursday and Sunday. Availability up to 10 hours before departure.
- Meeting point: At 4 p.m. in the centre of Plaza de Oriente, next to the sculpture of Felipe IV.
- Cancellations: In those cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start of the activity, 100% of the deposit will be refunded; if the cancellation is made between 48 and 24 hours, 50% of the contribution will be refunded; and if the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the start of the activity, there will be no refund.
