Itinerary
Stop at: Finca de Son Mut
Our first stop, passing through our route to the cliffs, is the Finca de Son Mut, a peculiar place where we will stop to get to know the largest fig tree experimentation field in the world. 1,724 fig trees of more than 830 different varieties, coming from all over the world.
Stop at: Es Cap Blanc Lighthouse
Possibly one of the wildest corners of Mallorca and one of the most impressive balconies on the coast. The lighthouse was built in 1862 and is possibly one of the most beautiful of the 14 lighthouses in Mallorca. The lighthouse, still in operation and under public management, cannot be visited inside, but we border it to admire this window to the Mediterranean while we take pictures and taste an ensaimada freshly baked.
Stop at: Cala Pi Tower
On our way to Las Salinas d'Es Trenc, we found another unmissable place, the Cala Pi tower, and the cliff that leads to the famous beach of Cala Pi, of turquoise and crystal clear water.
Stop at: Salinas del Trenc
Our last stop will be in Las Salinas d Es Trenc, an idyllic place where we can appreciate the rafts where the concentration of salt in the water increases. This is one of those places that serves as an example to demonstrate that it is possible to create ecosystems in which the action of man and wild animals live in harmony.
A representative of the company that produces salt will give us an illustrative talk about how salt works and the different stages of the process until we achieve the salt that reaches our tables. The visit ends after tasting the delicious Quelitas cookies with cheese.
