If you visit the north of the island, you’ll be surrounded by volcanic sand and unspoilt natural panoramas. If you travel to the south, on the other hand, you can enjoy stunning beaches and cliffs, and you’ll experience a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The best option is to begin as far to the north as possible. This park has been declared a Natural Biosphere Reserve, and is home to an abundance of flora and fauna that cannot fail to impress. It also affords amazing views, and on clear days, you will catch glimpses of the famous Teide volcano.

La Laguna is a university city, full of young people and with an island ambience. It is a World Heritage Site, with museums, mansions, historic buildings and countless avant-garde shops. It’s well worth a visit!

Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
This is a city that bears taking the time to explore. It has a buzzing, cosmopolitan atmosphere, particularly in the run-up to Carnival, its iconic festival that takes place in February. Santa Cruz has pedestrianised shopping areas to tempt you into spending a day doing something different without ever leaving the calmness of the sea.
