    “Vacation”

    Barcelo is so amazing. The food, the scenery, the drinks, the service, and the people are beautiful! Lots of pool and activities to do. The resort is right on the beach and so gorgeous. Ricardo is the best!

    “Barcelo gran faro - San Jose del Cabo”

    We spent 4 nights / 5 days in this Hotel with a package flight/all inclusive hotel. The hotel is well located on the beach and our room was with ocean view, which is one grade better than the low end. The room is space with 2 full bed, balcony, ac, shower, tv, mini bar. Internet was available but with extra charge which is a pity. There are 3 swimming pools which include one with sea water. Equipments are clean and in good condition. The beach is large with clear sand but you can't swim due to security. There is an international buffet restaurant which is good and located on the sea front, 3 specialty restaurants (sushi bar at the faro, 50m high, Mexican, Italian, sea food). The sushi bar is not good at all as the materials are low quality. The other restaurants are ok. Staff are polite and friendly, room cleaning service is not at high level as they forgot to fulfill our room with towels, coffee, water twice over 4. However in general this is a very good hotel. We plan to come back whenever there is a good package. Eric&Vicky

    “first time here, probably last time”

    check in can be tricky if you are in the premium area..no signs telling where you to check in...I knew we didn't go to the main check in but couldn't see where we went so had to grab the porter and have him take us...after finding where to check in it was easy and fast and off to our room....We had up graded to beach front not get the premium club but for the view so imagine our dismay when went to the balcony and all we saw was a big brown roof in front us....we were woke very early the next morning by the smell of sausages and dishes clanking..not happy...went to see about switching rooms and they did accomodate us..kinda....moved us away from kitchen but to ground floor..now our very expensive view was of a concrete slab with sun loungers..they told us no other rooms available.....we paid well over $1000.00 to have a view we didn't get. other than view room was OK...very spacious and lots of drawers and hangers...Bed was firm and we like that...room was made up early everyday but 1..did have a problem getting pool towels in our room, usually had to wait for them to bring after we called....had turn down service 1 night... The AC was the noisiest we have ever come across..I wear hearing aids but not at night and I could hear the AC all night long..not at all restfull. We found the food very good everywhere we ate...hot and tasty and sooo many options..food service staff were always polite and accommodating. In the evening buffet we had some trouble being able to sit outside to enjoy our meal..most of the outdoor tables were very big and they didn't like to sit just 2 people at them even though no one else was at them..well I didn't like sitting indoors with the AC blowing on me..towards the end of our stay they did move some of the bigger tables out and put smaller ones in their place.. The infinity pool was not working properly at all..water was not flowing our the edge and it was really scummy as a result..lots of partiers didn't seem to mind that but it looked kinda gross, and yes I did mention it to the lady at the premium club counter.. the other pools were fine and kept clean,, A BIG problem is they do NOT have enough chairs for all the guests and not nearly enough umbrellas..the hotel was far from full while we were there and and there was still a shortage of chairs....this brings the value of the hotel considerably... service around the pools and in the lounge was always very very good.. I really can't say enough about how hard the employees at this resort work..we saw them put up with drunken foolishness and rudeness and they kept smiling and trying..great job by all of them.. The grounds were clean and well manicured, an steady on going process.. our biggest disappointment was our room view.....it was so not worth the money we paid..unless you can be guaranteed of a room on a higher floor away from the kitchen I would strongly advise against paying the extra for a beach front room. The staff could make this a 5 star resort with help from management. Beach front means that!!!!!more loungers and shade umbrellas!!!!!!!and stay on top of things like the pools!!!!!!! mostly because of our room view and loud AC is why we will not return here..could be a jewel, but it's not...for a Barcelo I was disappointed.

    “Non ho dato cinque punti solo per un motivo...”

    La struttura è bellissima, la vista sull'oceano appena si entra nella hall è da subito tranquillizzante. L'albergo è molto grande, ci sono ben 5 ristoranti. Al bar della piscina offrono di tutto, lo staff è gentilissimo, specialmente Chris, al front desk, per le attività da fare fuori dall'albergo vi saprà aiutare nella scelta vista la moltitudine di cose che si possono fare a Cabo. Il cibo è buonissimo, al ristorante del buffet hanno organizzato una serata a tema italiano ed era tutto squisito, bravi. La scelta delle pietanze è molto varia ed è tutto ben curato. Il mare è bellissimo tutto è ben curato, le stanze sono spaziose ma l'unica pecca è l'umidità che non consente al bagno di avere un'adeguata aerazione e quindi le piastrelle sono costantemente bagnate e pure il pavimento e questo provoca la muffa che non è proprio bellissima da vedere. Solo per questo non ho dato 5 punti in quanto è un problema che si dovrebbe cercare di risolvere in qualche modo. Per il resto tutto bene. Vale la pena soggiornare in questa struttura. Peccato che noi siamo rimasti solo cinque giorni.

    “Visto il periodo post Uragano devo dire molto buono!”

    Sono stato in questo albergo nel periodo post uragano. Il fatto che fosse già aperto dimostra che la struttura e l'organizzazione sono di primo livello. Il fatto che c fossero dei lavori in corso anche all'intetrno della struttura non mi ha creato noia o disturbi. Camere molto ampi e arredate un pò in stile retrò. Camere pulite e abbastanza accessoriate. Ristoranti con menù molto ricchi. Ristorante a buffet molto buon e ricco di tutto! ristoranti alla carta super buoni. Personale cordialissimo e preparato. Che dire. Lo consiglio e ci tornerei!
