    “3rd time at Occidental- the best ever!!!”

    Just returned from our 3rd stay at Occidental Punta Cana. Found our trip to be fantastic, from the newly renovated room in section 23 to the great service provided by all the servers and staff. There were lots of available chairs at the beach and around the main pool area. The food at the buffets were fantastic, including all the desserts. Came back from each meal fully satisfied with it all. Plan on returning next year to paradise--Occidental Punta Cana. Thanks again to everyone there.

    “Beautiful hotel - dissaponting service”

    After we checked in we went to our beach front room that we purchased, we were told it was "occupied". We Went back to the front desk and was told to come back tomorrow and we would have a beach front room. Upon check in were we NEVER told where we could eat or the process of reserving at one of the five restaurants. We were never told about any activities at this resort. We were told NOTHING about the resort. We Went to the desk the next day and was told there were no beach front rooms and to come back tomorrow. At this point we were very frustrated as we felt we would never be able to get our room we purchased. We were sent to the customer service and the gentleman that was helping us told us there was nothing he could do to help us as his supervisor was In a meeting, I told him we would just sit and wait. It turned out that his supervisor was sitting right next to him. We spent at least 2 hours trying to get results until she finally acknowledged us. The supervisor was Johanna Brea and after our insistence she promised us we would have our room the next day and upgraded us to the Royal Club for our inconvenience. This was a good thing as the drinks we ordered from the "regular" guests bar were less than consumable. I could not even finish mine and I was actually prepared to go off the resort and purchase my own alcohol. My suggestion would be to upgrade if you do stay here. We did go back to the "regular" bar one afternoon as it was in the lobby and we were scheduling an excursion and wanted a drink. I noticed Grey Goose on the shelf and ordered that and was told "that is only for display". Again, the alcohol is very bottom shelf. We did go back to see Johanna the next day and as she promised we did get our beach front room. We were very pleased with our room and the view, however we feel if we had not been persistent we would have gotten the "we don't have a beach front room, we'll get you one tomorrow" story the whole time we were there. I don't feel we got the full experience of the resort as we never received any sort of orientation for anything. The staff at the Royal was amazing and the food and service was exceptional. The check out process was a disaster. We went to the front desk the day before check out to be sure of what we needed to do. We were told that as we were members of the Royal club that we needed to check out with them. So, on check out day we went to the desk at the Royal club and told them we wanted to check out and needed a cart to get our bags. The staff at the Roual club called our travel agency to confirm pick up time. We went back to our room, got our bags and waited for the cart. Waiting for some time at the lobby for our ride to the airport and was never told we Needed a check out ticket (which we did not get when we checked out) When our bus came to get us they asked for our check out ticket - which we did not have. So, we had to go to the desk and straighten that out. Thankfully our driver was understanding and waited for us. The beach was beautiful and the hotel was beautiful. We just don't feel we had the chance to experience the resort and what they had to offer.

    We r at the resort now. The buffet is good. A la carte Restaurants are not good, and the services is so terrible food is just ok. Oriental is bad both food and services... somebody told us try tip before to get better services Do not take building 12, rooms are old, bathroom, plumbing, telephone, clocks are broken... people were moved out...request for 24,25,26. Hard to communicate since housekeepers do not speak English.... Reception is not good too, we requested for repair few times...never come. Raining on and off during the day, u can find umbrella in most rooms but We don't so when we requested reception reply they don't have enough so stay in room and wait until raining stop....

    “Royal Level at the Occudental Punta Cana”

    rientrati questa sera dopo 13 giorni passati in questa struttura. Non possiamo che iniziare con un ringraziamento a tutti per aver reso questa vacanza ancor più bella. Eravamo al Royal Level stanza 21204 vista oceano e piscina, non posso scrivere molto sui servizi generali dell'hotel perché abbiamo usufruito solo di quelli messi a disposizione per i clienti del Royal. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno portato con un "carrettero" per un check-in privato, siamo stati accolti da Melina gentile, educata e simpatica che ci ha offerto un drink e spiegato tutto. Quando siamo entrati in camera siamo rimasti a "bocca aperta", era enorme, due stanze ampie, un bagno enorme così come enorme era la terrazza con vasca idromassaggio. Tutto nuovo, si sentiva ancora l'odore di nuovo dei mobili. Frigobar rifornito e rum con piatto di frutta in omaggio. Da italiani non possiamo che elogiare il ristorante del Royal e a differenza di altri hotel (vedi recensioni) abbiamo mangiato benissimo e di tutto. Il personale al ristorante è straordinario, menziono solo Hector per evitare di dimenticare qualcuno ma vorrei ringraziare di cuore tutti anche lo chef. ps. il vino non è un granché. Abbiamo usufruito per diverse mattine della colazione in camera, servizio impeccabile...ordinavamo per le 7.30 e puntualmente alle 7.30 sentivi bussare in camera. Per quanto riguarda la spiaggia ci tengo a precisare che è una delle migliori che si trovano in zona Bavaro. Non ci sono mai problemi di lettini o di ombra a qualsiasi ora. Non ci sono ombrelloni ma tende in comune o palme che però fanno bene il loro lavoro. Bar in spiaggia con bevande premium e Antonio che fa la differenza con la sua simpatia e serietà. Senza di lui il bar del Royal Level non sarebbe lo stesso. In queste due settimane abbiamo conosciuto anche tanti ospiti americani simpaticissimi. Per riassumere...servizio Royal Level top in tutto dalla reception in primis Melina ma anche TUTTE le altre ragazze, camera bellissima, ristorante ottimo e fantastici i camerieri, spiaggia fantastica e servizio beach bar strepitoso. Le uniche cose che non ci sono piaciute sono state: 1) personale alla reception principale scostante, non solo non alzavano nemmeno la testa per risponderti ma quando riuscivi a cacciargli fuori una parola era...NO. Esempio...c'è la navetta gratis per il casinò? NO. C'è la navetta gratuita per il Palma real shopping center? NO. Eppure in altre recensioni avevamo letto che c'erano. La cosa assurda è che se alla sicurezza fai la stessa domanda (casinò), una ti risponde che c'è...un'altra ti dice che c'è solo al ritorno. Quindi se volevamo andare all'Avalon eravamo costretti a pagare 10 dollari all'andata e zero al ritorno. Chiedo gentilmente al Manager di chiarire questa cosa. Noi dopo 13 giorni non l'abbiamo capita. Comunque queste piccole cose non hanno ovviamente scalfito la nostra meravigliosa vacanza. È la nostra quinta volta a Punta Cana ed ogni anno abbiamo cambiato hotel, il prossimo anno, con la stessa offerta, è qui che torneremo. Grazie a tutti da Monja e Primo.

Al nostro arrivo ci hanno portato con un "carrettero" per un check-in privato, siamo stati accolti da Melina gentile, educata e simpatica che ci ha offerto un drink e spiegato tutto. Quando siamo entrati in camera siamo rimasti a "bocca aperta", era enorme, due stanze ampie, un bagno enorme così come enorme era la terrazza con vasca idromassaggio. Tutto nuovo, si sentiva ancora l'odore di nuovo dei mobili. Frigobar rifornito e rum con piatto di frutta in omaggio. Da italiani non possiamo che elogiare il ristorante del Royal e a differenza di altri hotel (vedi recensioni) abbiamo mangiato benissimo e di tutto. Il personale al ristorante è straordinario, menziono solo Hector per evitare di dimenticare qualcuno ma vorrei ringraziare di cuore tutti anche lo chef. ps. il vino non è un granché. Abbiamo usufruito per diverse mattine della colazione in camera, servizio impeccabile...ordinavamo per le 7.30 e puntualmente alle 7.30 sentivi bussare in camera. Per quanto riguarda la spiaggia ci tengo a precisare che è una delle migliori che si trovano in zona Bavaro. Non ci sono mai problemi di lettini o di ombra a qualsiasi ora. Non ci sono ombrelloni ma tende in comune o palme che però fanno bene il loro lavoro. Bar in spiaggia con bevande premium e Antonio che fa la differenza con la sua simpatia e serietà.
