    “wonderful place and people”

    We recently stayed at this resort and were very impressed with the staff. Everybody seemed to want to help out in any way they could. One of those people was the Food and Beverage Manager at the Buffet. Our group of 8 had a bit of problem at the seafood A La carte and he corrected it for us instantly. And then he sent us a Silver platter of fruit and Champagne and Glasses and some beer in our fridge. He was so polite and kind always with a smile for all the guests and was so efficient in his job. We watched how he dealt with his colleagues and his staff and we felt he was very respectful and dignified with how he dealt with all of them. He spoke kindly with his staff at all times even though it got extremely busy. we will go back because of Cesar Castillo. and the other person who truly went out of her way to make our stay incredible was the Guest Service Manager Johanna Brea. one of our friends needed a wheelchair as his back became worse with pain... she got our wheelchair for us as soon as we asked her. she also arranged a trip to a shopping plaza for all of us and she was able to get us another A la carte dinner for our group of 8. she was so friendly and very good at her job and she made us feel so welcome. we will go back to this place because of these two especially but also the food at the buffet was so good. lots of variety and arranged beautifully each night. the mexican, italian and steak house and Asiana Restaurant was so delicious. we were impressed. and the shows were amazing to watch!!!! and the beach was just so amazing as per expected. it is just a piece of Paradise!!! we will go again to this place soon. we recommend this place to everyone!

    “Never again”

    I had already written a review but it has since been deleted... The grounds are beautiful but the hotel itself and many of the staff were not up to scratch, one staff member even offered us drugs. The hotel is overrun with locals over the weekend and it is a less than relaxing environment when surrounded by screaming children whose parents let them run riot. There is very little I can say that is positive about the hotel, it really is such a shame. This was mine and my boyfriends first holiday away and it was not a positive one. The rooms are very dated and the air conditioning broke almost daily, we were flooded during a storm and thee were exposed wires and broken plug sockets, not great when water is coming in to the room! All in all, we had wasted a lot of money and came back wishing we hadn't bothered.... Please find somewhere else in punta Cana until the hotel has been fully updated.

    “little disappointed”

    Lets see although the beach is amazing, the place is clean the food was o.k. We where of the fortunate crowd that actually got an upgraded room, which was very nice, our cleaning lady Lucie was the absolute best. Thank you Lucie. Also barmen extrodinary Emillio and Stephano Thank you both for your professionalism . Unfortunately there is only one Buffet for breakfast so if you are not an early riser expect to wait in line, mind you it usually wasn't a long wait but a wait none the less.The food from afternoon to evening buffet was usually the same, unfortunately in my case we had to cancel our restaurant reservations due to illness, I am sure that we would of had less of the same thing all the time if this was not the case. Next there are no Paylpas on the beach so if you need shade get up super early and find yourself a tree that you will play ring around for the day. The evening DRESS CODE for men is ridiculous!!! My husband had closed in walking sandals and they wouldn't let him into the restaurant when the girls went in with FLIP FLOPS and half dressed. There is only one bar on the beach if you are not in the priviledge section (they have 2 Paylpas bars) and the line ups where insane.They should have an area where you can pour your own beer and let the bartenders make the mixed drinks. At lunch time they had 3 bartenders but 2 of them looked after the restaurant side only, so it was even worse. On top of advertising this hotel as international booze you had to pay for things like Grand Marnier and other premium alcohol. Very often there was no crushed ice for drinks like there speciallity Dominican flag and banana mamas. They have one snack bar that closes at 6 o'clock the same time as the pol and beach bar seems to me its between 5-7 that you want a snack before you go to your room and get ready for supper. There is a Pizza and Mexican snack that opens around 6h30 but it gets a little tiring always eating the same thing. Unfortunately my husband became very ill. The Doctor on staff was AWESOME Thank you so much Doctor. The worst part about this is that our room had no T.V. or Telephone I went to the front desk 3 days in a row to try and get this fixed as I needed a phone in case I had to call the Doctor in the night and it would have been nice to watch T.V. with my sick husband instead of look a t he ceiling all night. Just to be insulted by a staff memeber on the 3rd day he told me to go sit at the bar and drinky drinky drinky as it was his job to get things fixed I told him I would be in my room watching T.V. if he had done his job. I asked for an apology and he says you don't like it make a complaint . So believe me I did and that to turned out to be a waste of my time. Why give people the run around I was already worried about my husband I didn't need to be dealing with this crap Just tell me upfront that the things cannot be fixed and let me go on way . I would still have been upset but I wouldn't spend my time at the front desk!! And finally there are way too many vendors hassaling you all day on the beach. Also the prices in the lobby shopping are insane. $31.00 U.S. for sunscreen $7.00 U.S. for a bag of Yum Yum cheesies.Thank goodness for the flea market a short walk on either side of the beach.

    “Animacion super ”

    Fantastica esperienza! Posto incantevole, spiaggia stupenda...sembra di essere in paradiso! Animazione bellissima, gentile e cortese. Tuto bellissimo. Consiglio vivamente questo resort!     “Royal Level at the Occudental Punta Cana”

    rientrati questa sera dopo 13 giorni passati in questa struttura. Non possiamo che iniziare con un ringraziamento a tutti per aver reso questa vacanza ancor più bella. Eravamo al Royal Level stanza 21204 vista oceano e piscina, non posso scrivere molto sui servizi generali dell'hotel perché abbiamo usufruito solo di quelli messi a disposizione per i clienti del Royal. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno portato con un "carrettero" per un check-in privato, siamo stati accolti da Melina gentile, educata e simpatica che ci ha offerto un drink e spiegato tutto. Quando siamo entrati in camera siamo rimasti a "bocca aperta", era enorme, due stanze ampie, un bagno enorme così come enorme era la terrazza con vasca idromassaggio. Tutto nuovo, si sentiva ancora l'odore di nuovo dei mobili. Frigobar rifornito e rum con piatto di frutta in omaggio. Da italiani non possiamo che elogiare il ristorante del Royal e a differenza di altri hotel (vedi recensioni) abbiamo mangiato benissimo e di tutto. Il personale al ristorante è straordinario, menziono solo Hector per evitare di dimenticare qualcuno ma vorrei ringraziare di cuore tutti anche lo chef. ps. il vino non è un granché. Abbiamo usufruito per diverse mattine della colazione in camera, servizio impeccabile...ordinavamo per le 7.30 e puntualmente alle 7.30 sentivi bussare in camera. Per quanto riguarda la spiaggia ci tengo a precisare che è una delle migliori che si trovano in zona Bavaro. Non ci sono mai problemi di lettini o di ombra a qualsiasi ora. Non ci sono ombrelloni ma tende in comune o palme che però fanno bene il loro lavoro. Bar in spiaggia con bevande premium e Antonio che fa la differenza con la sua simpatia e serietà. Senza di lui il bar del Royal Level non sarebbe lo stesso. In queste due settimane abbiamo conosciuto anche tanti ospiti americani simpaticissimi. Per riassumere...servizio Royal Level top in tutto dalla reception in primis Melina ma anche TUTTE le altre ragazze, camera bellissima, ristorante ottimo e fantastici i camerieri, spiaggia fantastica e servizio beach bar strepitoso. Le uniche cose che non ci sono piaciute sono state: 1) personale alla reception principale scostante, non solo non alzavano nemmeno la testa per risponderti ma quando riuscivi a cacciargli fuori una parola era...NO. Esempio...c'è la navetta gratis per il casinò? NO. C'è la navetta gratuita per il Palma real shopping center? NO. Eppure in altre recensioni avevamo letto che c'erano. La cosa assurda è che se alla sicurezza fai la stessa domanda (casinò), una ti risponde che c'è...un'altra ti dice che c'è solo al ritorno. Quindi se volevamo andare all'Avalon eravamo costretti a pagare 10 dollari all'andata e zero al ritorno. Chiedo gentilmente al Manager di chiarire questa cosa. Noi dopo 13 giorni non l'abbiamo capita. Comunque queste piccole cose non hanno ovviamente scalfito la nostra meravigliosa vacanza. È la nostra quinta volta a Punta Cana ed ogni anno abbiamo cambiato hotel, il prossimo anno, con la stessa offerta, è qui che torneremo. Grazie a tutti da Monja e Primo.
