Mexican days by Trop Rouge, blogger and influencer

You’ll know who she is if you’re on social media, and you’re probably one of her 160,000 Instagram followers. Christina Caradona, better known as Trop Rouge, defines herself as a model and a “selfie professional”. Today we sit down to chat about one of her favorite destinations: Mexico.

This New Yorker with a French soul is a woman with exotic features and stunning curls who sets trends thanks to her lifestyle and casual looks, which always feature a hint of glamour. She works as a stylist for several magazines and her lookbooks are the envy of just about anyone.

On the perks of being a travel influencer

In May 2016, Trop Rouge flew to the Mexican paradise of the Riviera Maya and stayed at one of the most exclusive hotels in the region: the Royal Hideaway Playacar Resort – Adults Only. “What I loved about the Royal Hideaway Playacar is the luxury that surrounds you. The service is amazing, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and everything is extremely well thought out, with a focus on every corner and minor detail. Nothing is left to chance and everything is done for a reason.”

A self-professed fan of exotic cuisine, her constant goal is to immortalize the most tempting dishes and creations through her work as an experience hunter: “The thing I love the most about traveling is being able to discover new places, go to different destinations and try the local dishes of each culture.”

Christina finds it easy to combine travel and a healthy lifestyle. In fact, Trop Rouge keeps her workout routine on track, even while she’s on vacation, and the Mexican beaches were the perfect setting for her favorite sports thanks to the yoga and stand up paddle board lessons available at the hotel.

Christina Caradona believes that traveling opens many doors and enriches you as a person: “I would definitely repeat this experience because it has truly been amazing.”
