How would you describe Cancún to someone who has never visited?
Cancún is a picturesque holiday destination located on the far eastern point of Mexico; it is perfect for family and romantic getaways. It is extremely easy to access. The airport is a mere 15-minute taxi or bus ride from the central hotel district. The area features many shopping areas, restaurants, bars and local entertainment. The main beach has some of the whitest sand and most turquoise water on the east coast of Mexico, and water temperatures stay between 26° C and 29° C (in the 80s° F) year around, making this a perfect beach location. The area is teeming with interesting places to explore, things to do and spots to relax, making it a highly recommendable holiday destination.

What was the most memorable adventure you experienced during your trip?
Our romantic dinner in the pavilion with the most beautiful sunset after we’ve finished was definitely the highlight of our stay. It is an absolutely perfect setting!
What was the best thing you ate or drank at Occidental Tucancún?
The lobster and seafood that comes with the romantic dinner for two is without a doubt one of the best meals we have had! We also loved the Italian restaurant — and breakfast nearest to the beach was also exceptional.
What was the most surprising thing about your Occidental Tucancún romantic escape?
The most surprising thing for us was the quality of service from all of the staff. From the cleanliness of our room to the service and quality of food we received at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Through our stay we only encountered excellent service, from each and every staff member, from the minute we arrived until we left. We also have to make a special mention about Alison Sam. She was very helpful to us during our stay and she made sure that we had the very best opportunities to get the best pictures of the hotel. She was extremely professional, and effective in turning creative ideas into reality.
