Our Travel Passport: The private beach at Barceló Maya Grand Resort is over a mile long, which makes it feel like you have a little piece of paradise all to yourself. No matter how many people are there, there's always a spot you can find that is more secluded so you can relax under the palms and enjoy the sun and the ocean on your own.

Our Travel Passport: Watching the sunset. The colors of the sky completely transformed into beautiful shades of pink and blue and the soft crashing of the waves was incredibly peaceful and romantic. We watched it every night, and we were always so amazed and just immediately felt relaxed and more in love with our beautiful planet and each other.

Our Travel Passport: We were surprised by how versatile the resort is. There really is something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a couples’ getaway or a family vacation, there are so many different activities, restaurants, and even rooms to accommodate the kind of trip you're looking for.

Our Travel Passport: Book a junior suite swim up room! We loved spending some time on the beach in the morning and then heading back to our room to relax in our pool. It's the perfect escape for when you want a little alone time together. Also, wake up early (at least once) to sit and watch the sunrise over the ocean. The sounds of the palms swaying in the wind, the birds chirping, and the waves crashing as the sun rises over the ocean is truly a breathtaking experience and there's no better way to enjoy that than with the love of your life.
