The Sartorialist Falls In Love With Royal Hideaway Luxury Hotels & Resorts
Scott Schuman, the founder of the wildly popular The Sartorialist blog, abandoned the streets of the world’s major cities and international fashion week runways and trained his lens on Royal Hideaway Playacar. And the hotel was ready for its closeup.
Royal Hideaway Hotels have always been stylish destinations – but recently, the brand took things to the next level.
Scott Schuman, the founder of the wildly popular The Sartorialist blog, abandoned the streets of the world’s major cities and international fashion week runways and trained his lens on Royal Hideaway Playacar. And the hotel was ready for its closeup.
The Guest List launched with a series of photographs taken by Schuman during his Royal Hideaway Playacar stay, perfectly illustrating the essential character of the hotel. The Sartorialist features his informal photos of individuals from all over the world who represent timeless attitude, style and elegance. Now, Royal Hideaway guests have become part of that select group. The brand’s other properties (including El Embajador, a Royal Hideaway Hotel) will soon get the Sartorialist treatment.
Every visitor to the Royal Hideaway Playacar hotel falls in love with it, thanks to its unique location overlooking the white sands of one of the Riviera Maya’s idyllic beaches – and Schuman was no exception. The luxurious, immersive atmosphere of the Royal Hideaway Playacar captivated the photographer. “I believe it is more than a classic,” he said. “It has such refinement; it transcends time. It is gorgeous, thrilling. The décor, quality, colour, features and details: everything is done so well, but it also has a timeless quality, (...) a quality that one does not always find in fashion.”
