    “Fair but not the best sports resort”

    This hotel has good qualities in many aspects but do not excell in any. Food, sports facilities, events, location and atmosphere are all average. But the pool is excellent and for a swimmer could even be worth the stay.

    “Stayed from the 2nd-12th Jan”

    We stayed as a family of 5, in a family suite, the animation team of a day for kids and adults were brilliant, shows of a night were also good. We stayed all inc and there was plenty of choice of food Drink for all inc were help yourself which is ok but the only issue I had of a night the (basic) cocktails - mojito, daiquiri etc are not included on the all inclusive. The beer they had on tap for help yourself was nice. There is a mini market outside main hotel entrance which was great for snacks, cereal, milk (if you have kids that say there hungry once everywhere is closed) pizza takeaway/pub is open until 12 to take pizza back the room, family suites have fridge and microwave. We would come back again.

    “Disappointed- won’t be returning”

    On arrival at the hotel I was thoroughly disappointed - the hotel was really dated - we booked through Jet2 holidays and the photos certainly gave us the impression that the hotel was a lot more modern than it is - we actually nicknamed one of the bars the ‘1980’s bar’. On arrival there was only one porter working and the poor man was rushed off his feet - we would have never found our room without him - the signage was rubbish. The room was spacious, clean but needed some serious tlc and modernising. Unless you are allocated a ground floor room all the rooms are only accessible via steps (there are lifts but then still a flight of steps to your room) our booking included and infant but they still placed us in a upper floor room which was a nightmare bouncing and dragging the Pram up and down the steps. Had to pay for the use of the safe - when your staying at a 4 star hotel the safe should be included. The pool was one of the good things about the hotel, the kids loved the slides, the slide pool was heated, a lifeguard on duty, always enough sunbeds and the area was clean. However the food at the pool left a lot to be desired - it was there from 11-5 sat on hot plates. I noticed the chef adding fresh food to existing food rather than removing it therefore not knowing how long it had been sat there for. Towels can be hired for €10 deposit. The gym was excellent-really well equipped with an outdoor area - only complaint is it didn’t open until 8.30am - far too late in my opinion. The staff in the restaurant worked really hard and were friendly. We ate breakfast and lunch every day at the buffet and it was fine - it was the same every day - breakfast had enough choices to keep everyone happy. Lunch was the same everyday - with 1 fish and 1 meat choice that differed - exactly the same for the evening dinner, which is why we ate out most nights - it was just too repetitive. We stayed at the hotel for the NYE gala dinner and that was great - lots of different choice and the food was excellent - just a shame that this showed us what they could offer if they made more of an effort on normal nights. Bottled tropical was served in the restaurant which was good. As we were Jet2 customers we were allowed one free meal in the a la carte restaurant - bizarre experience - apparently it was fully booked and we could only get a table at 1 slot. There was only 1 waitress and only 3 tables being used - they were turning other people away and that’s how it remained all night. There was no atmosphere - lacking some background music. The food was good - massive portions for the kids. We were all inclusive and tried the hotel entertainment - had to serve our own drinks including spirits which were lined up on the side (which were particularly weak) the beer and wine were nice. On NYE the animation team provided the entertainment - it was shocking at how bad it was but they all work really hard and are friendly but on NYE we expected a professional performance. We walked into Costa Teguise, which was a nice coastal walk - about 1/2 hr, hired scooters and got taxis. We didn’t have a bad meal in Costa Teguise and I would return there just not this hotel. You can see from my other reviews that I’m not a moaner/ pessimist but I was really disappointed with this hotel especially due to the amount of money it had cost, I expected more.

    “Sunshine break”

    Good getaway for the new year Shame about trees outside the balcony so couldn't relax in the sun had to go down to the pool every day if we wanted the sun Would have preferred a room further away from the motorway as the door didn't shut properly so we had to buy some ear plugs to drown the traffic noise out

    On arrival the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We found the restaurant to be spotless and the quality of the food excellent. The room was also spotless and very comfortable. With such a large complex it is very difficult to house all patrons close to all the facilities, but the walk did us no harm whatsoever.
