    “Happy holidays!!”

    What a wonderful place to bring the family! Three pools, a pool bar with never ending food and drinks, the little ones guzzling the slush puppies. Children running around excitedly as they play on the water slide. Perfect. The food is extremely varied and excellent quality, the apartments are super. The staff are enormously helpful. We will be returning.

    “COCKROACHES/ANTS in ROOM, STINKS/FOOD AWFUL”

    Well what can I say.....advertised as 4*.....eh definitely not, 2* if your lucky and that’s only because the pool area was nice enough albeit water freezing and grounds were nice. Female traveller on my own with my 2 kids aged 9 & 8. I regard myself as quite a positive person and always try to see the good and I am by no means a snob. I read trip advisor reviews and try to read between the lines as I know some people can be fussy. But wish I’d really paid attention to the negative reviews I saw as I know some have had a very similar experience to me. So here goes... On our late evening arrival, it took me 3 attempts to get a room....first one had ants running around the kitchen surface, which my 9 year old was first to notice, so went back to reception. They gave me key to look at another room, this was smelling inside, of what of I have no idea and in the balcony area of stale cigarette smoke, even the kids were put off with the bad smells. Back to reception, got key to 3rd room which seemed ok at first so we took it. Man at reception was nice. On heading back to original room to collect and move cases it was obvious housekeeping had went up and sprayed the room with strong insecticide, over a kitchen surface....🤢. Think this is standard practice at this hotel 🤢🤢. So now I knew there was no way I would be cooking or eating anything in the room. Well that was ok as we were all inclusive anyway!!! Well that’s another story....food is awful....limited selection, lots of fly’s and of what selection there is it’s cold. Only thing you might be safe with is food cooked in front of you. So despite not having budgeted for eating out, that’s exactly what we ended up doing. Can really recommend the Indian a ten minute walk down the road called the Bombay Babu it’s delicious, best one I’ve had in years. So back to the room...this room also had ants but not quite as bad as the first and I thought maybe this is what happens in Tenerife (never been before) so thought I’d just need to accept and go with the flow. Then on our 2nd night in the room, kids were in their bedroom reading their books before lights out....I’m in the sofa bed....oh and can I just say the beds are not that comfortable....next minute kids are screaming running through to me shouting about a beastie beside the bed on the bedside table. Oh great I just love beasties.....Lo and behold it was a blooming cockroach, quite the thing sitting on the wee bedside table, I managed to catch it and flush it down the toilet pan. So i was already struggling with the food, flies and ants giving me the boke and fear, now add going to the loo in case the cockroach returned. The 3 of us had a very uncomfortable sleep in the sofa bed that night. I tried my best not to let this completely freak me out, after all my wee fella had met a pal and was having fun. I tell reception the next day and they weren’t interested, the girl was very casually joking about having one in her apartment that day too!!! Well I’m sorry, cockroaches mean it’s dirty. I am reasonably well travelled and this is the first time I’ve found them in my living accommodation, EVER! That evening I find another cockroach in amongst my clothes in the wardrobe. We couldn’t live like this so I ended up checking out and moving to another proper 4* hotel (at my own expense) along the road which I can highly recommend....Be Live Playa De La Arena....for our remaining 4 nights. We were only there for 6 so I only lasted the 2 nights at this hotel. On checking out the girl receptionist could not sort out any refund of my unused days, I couldn’t stay any longer and did not want anymore stress, I was already stressed at being there, I just wanted to go so didn’t fight it so I’m probably also going to be excessively out of pocket too!! Another negative but more annoying about the hotel was the room cards were constantly not working, at first i thought it was because I kept it beside my mobile phone but it still happened after keeping it elsewhere. I was not the only guest with this problem. So overall this has got to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Arrived late 11 February 2018 and very quickly left evening of 13 February 2018. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures, I’m not a person who normally does, now I wish I had.

Regarding to the cleanliness of the room let us inform you that we have implemented a strict control of cleanliness of the hotel defined in our operating systems as a quality tool and even more if possible in the rooms trying to achieve the highest degree of satisfaction of our customers as far as rest is concerned.Despite the nature of our facilities, with large open spaces can cause the presence of insects, such as ants and cockroaches. Also, these are an endemic species on the island and that, despite being up to date on the "Disinsection and Pest Control Plans", it is not possible to eradicate them completely. It should be noted that our establishment has the collaboration of a company specializing in the fight against this type of insect (FAYCANES), which is responsible for carrying out the necessary actions to minimize the impact of these insects having acted on numerous occasions during this month . In the same way we inform you that we reinforce the treatment at each change of season with a doubling of it. We have also taken good note of your remarks on the dining expériences and sincerely lament reading that we fell short of your culinary expectations on this occasion, although I would like to take the opportunity to point out that our Executive Chefs follow a two weeks menu rotation including a wide array of both local and international delicacies to cater for all diet requirements and please the most demanding palates, this is why we are sorry to read that we were not able to conquer yours and will make sure to discuss your critics with our team. I regret that we did not have the opportunity to deal with this issue during your stay, as we would certainly have found a solution, although we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in our facilities in the next holidays.     “Great fun”

    Just returned from allegro and I already have holiday blues. The staff are very friendly especially the entertainers. They made our experience great fun. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The choice is alcoholic drinks and variety was very good for AI.The buffet choice was what I expected from AI. Although the lunch BBQ and paella cooked fresh outside was great. My only negatives are the food was sometimes not hot enough and the swimming pools were too cold to swim in. I would suggest the install solar panel heating. Overall very good value for money and I would recommend

    “No Heated swimming pool”

    Never again! We booked this hotel as it claimed to have a heated swimming pool. However, none of the 3 pools were heated and judging by the temperature, had not been heated for some time. Reception staff claimed that there was a part missing but there was no indication of when it would arrive. Obviously, this was a cost saving exercise. There were plenty of maintenance men around spray painting the extensive floor areas adjacent to sunbathers around the swimming pools. The paint was solvent based and the terrible smell was everywhere including the dining room where people were trying to eat. The smell also prevented us from sitting on our balconies for 48 hours. It must have been against health and safety regulations to use industrial spray painters so close to the public? The beach is 20 minutes walk down quite a steep hill. On the plus side the wellness centre was excellent and the rooms were actually small apartments finished to quite a high standard. Food was disappointing with queues into the restaurant every morning and evening.

We took also, good note of your remarks about the painting works that have been done,and I take this opportunity to reassure you because the painting we used is not harmful at all, ; under no circumstances would we put our guests health at risk. Besides, the issue that you mentioned about the queues in the restaurant, at the time that you were staying at the hotel, we were complete, which at specific moments of the dinner, the restaurant has been full and therefore we have set a prudential time to climb the tables. Also in order to avoid further inconvenience to our customers, a person from the Hotel Management, as well as the Restaurant Managers, at these specific moments, kindly accompanied the clients to their tables. However, we ask for our sincere apologies for this fact. Once again, thank you for your visit and constructive critics, we hope that you had a nice journey back home and to have the pleasure of serving you again in our hotels worldwide ensuring you in advance of our best intentions at all times.     “Hotel very good , but swimng pool have cold water”

    Super hotel, Super foods but cold water in swimming pool, good place to relaxe with family. I will back here. One minus only swimming pool in sumer mayby is ok by in winter it isnt good., I think they must do with this something.
