    “One of our BEST VACATIONS!!!”

    Just got back a few days ago. First time in Los Cabos and at the Barceló chain. How I wish we were there still! We really enjoyed ourselves. Service, food, hotel and people were amazing! Its smart to book premium level ...you get great perks. The weather was perfect...who could ask for anything more. We cannot wait to visit there again! Thank you Barceló for a memorable holiday..just me and my hubby :)

    “Great Stay”

    We stayed for four nights last week and were very pleased with the hotel. The grounds, rooms, restaurants, pools, all very clean and well kept. The staff was wonderful - all of them! The hotel also has a medical facility within that we were able to rent a wheelchair from. The Mexican restaurant is very pretty and the food was good also. We took a cab ride into downtown San Jose, also nice and safe. We sat in the lobby bar in the evenings where they had live entertainment.

    “Left very dissapointed”

    The only reason I enjoyed my time here is because I brush things off easily. I paid an additional fee to upgrade my room to an ocean view. I went with a party of 9..total of 4 rooms. Everyone else got the upgraded room for free. Fine. The food at the buffets were just ok. We tried making reservations when we got there but there wasn't any availability. We stayed for 3 nights. You cant call or make reservations in advance. Kind of ridiculous to offer restaurants if you cant even get a reservation. My ENTIRE party was granted late checkout(an hour later) for free. When I asked for the same I was (until 3) for $50 and $150 for me. When I did checkout I let them know I didn't have my room key and they tried to charge me $20. I asked for a contract or any written documentation stating I had to pay this. The front desk couldn't find anything and stated "I guess we cant charge you." The waitresses, bartenders and bus boys were all very kind. The pools re very cold. They were never heated. Over less than ok experience. Cabo we will be back....just not to Barceló.

    “Avoid- look for a better facility/management team”

    We stayed here from April 3rd through April 10th. Management, especially the front desk/reservation was awful, disorganized, and incompetent. After spending the first night in a room we did not care for, we paid extra to upgrade and were asked to move our luggage out of the room before 11-Am so they could have the room cleaned and ready for the next guest who has requested it, and gave us another room's number where they would store our belongings. While the other room needed to be cleaned they asked us to leave our belongings with them until at the earliest 3-PM so they could have that room ready and move our items into it. We decided to go into town since it would take so many hours, and came back shortly after 5-PM just to find out that they had given our room to someone else and did not have another one available for the night. Our options were limited to a better room with one bed (we have two kids ages 12 and 13), or to use the same room as before, that they had asked us to leave so they could clean and give to someone else! We had spent half of our first full day out of the hotel so they could get the room ready, and did not appreciate the fact they had mislead us to leave so they could have the room ready for another guest, yet it was clearly vacant at the end of the day. They then decided to put us in a "better room", but one that was not cleaned properly, nor was it stocked with bathroom supplies, towels, etc. I let them know we had young kids, one of whom did not feel well and had to stay in bed, and therefore would very much appreciate not being out of the room for another half a day. They said to bring our belongings down at 12:30 so they could take everything straight into the new room. We gave them an extra 30 minutes and had our luggage picked up at 1-PM, after I personally had met with the General Manager who told me our room was ready. Our luggage was brought back to the front desk because the room was not ready! In fact, the room did not get ready for another couple of hours. We ended up spending another half a day outside of our room. Additionally, we were charged for wireless, which we were told should have been included in the upgraded package- we did not have every bathroom item again, and had to call and ask for more towels, which took 40 minutes to get (two calls later). We had only spoken with managers as well as the GM, who told us "other managers did not make any notes; therefore they had given our room to someone else". That statement by the GM was not accurate, as one of the other managers showed us the notes they had made from the days prior. Then the GM, who had heard us at the beginning asking for presidential suites and adjoining rooms toward the end of the summer so we could bring our parents with us, promised us some vouchers for "future stay" and said he would email them to us. He asked for my email address and wrote it down. I stopped by a couple of days later and let him know I had not seen any emails from him or the hotel; he said he would be able to send them "after we leave". Not surprisingly, I have not seen anything come through. We would have expected what was advertised, promised, or deserved in our situation, and for what we paid extra; not bunch of false promises, or finger pointing at others.

    “Loved it”

    We had the most fantastic relaxing time ever. The rooms were wonderful especially the Jacuzzi tub the view was great drinks all day and loved the pol and beach area. Very nice quiet property cant wait to visit again
