    “Very Nice Resort”

    Stayed for a week with a group of friends, the resort is lovely and easy to get around, the rooms are very nice and clean, food and entertainment was good as well. The only problem was they were very understaffed and you really felt it in the restaurants - twice they didn't have us on the list even though we had the paper to prove it, took forever to get served and one night we actually left because we were pouring our own water and wine and still hadn't been served any food after an hours wait. Pool drink service was sporadic but thats ok probably not a bad idea to go for a walk. I would recommend this resort if they hire more staff :)

    “Looks nice, but underwhelming once there.”

    This hotel looks fantastic from pictures and still looks good in person when you first walk in. They've done a good job keeping fresh paint on things and the overall public spaces nice, but everywhere else is skimped on more than you would expect from a resort like this. The staff was welcoming but most requests were largely ignored. Room type, location, etc, you got put where you got put and no changes were allowed. We ended up with both a king bed and a queen bed with just my wife and I facing the pool with a partial beach view instead of the ocean front we had booked. Once we dealt with that we tried to make dinner reservations. Our entire stay the Mexican specialty restaurant was unavailable except on "seafood night". The food overall was quite bad except for breakfast, which was excellent. Lunches and dinners were about what you would expect on a cruise ship like Carnival. No one seems to know how to properly flavor American deserts, even the Italian restaurant couldn't get it right. Way too much use of gelatin in what were supposed to be creamy items like Tiramisu, Cheesecake, just awful. Our best meal was a small place on a side street in downtown Cabo San Lucas. There are only two evening bars. The alcohol overall is watered down with some other bad-tasting vodka or other spirit, so the drinks were not highly enjoyable except the rum based drinks. Even the tequila had a terrible side taste to it. Again, the best drinks were off-property in downtown Cabo. There is one outdoor exposed bar at night and Cabo for 4 months out of the year is actually fairly cool at night. No fire pit except where the smoking hole is, nor does it have seating close enough to the gas fire to keep warm. That leaves only the tower bar, which we found closed on our last night there. The staff told us it was closed on Sundays - we found out after seeing people up there later that it was reserved for a wedding. We ended up spending our last night at the resort searching for a bar in town that wasn't open to the 55 degree temperatures with wind. The resort doesn't face the sunset, and the ONLY place to watch the sunset is that tower bar. Can't even see it from the beach terrace. In short, I would never pay this amount for this bad of an experience ever again. I travel for a living and visit a lot of places, good and bad, and I can't believe this property commands this price point. I'd stay somewhere closer to downtown Cabo if I ever come here again. Preferably something with a sunset view.

    “One of the Best”

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barceló Gran Faro Los Cabos from February 13 through February 20. The location is gorgeous, the food was wonderful (especially at Las Jicamas), the staff was gracious and the room and food service were exceptionally good! We celebrated an anniversary while there, and were delighted to receive champagne, tequila and a beautifully decorated plate of chocolates! There is entertainment every night in the bar, but it ends at 10PM (it's a fun place with a lot of activities, but this is not a party hotel)! I highly recommend it.

    “This is da bomb ”

    I had a fantastic time at this resort. The service was great, especially the animation staff. They made my trip so enjoyable by being accommodating, listening to what the group wanted and making sure everyone was having a good time. They brought about a good amount of activities and made the entertainment at night something I looked forward to checking out everyday. Overall the staff of the restaurants were great, however a little faster to get to the table to get a drink order would be nice. Resort was very well taken care of and clean. Beach is right outside your door and the whole area felt incredibly safe, I never worried about anyone taking my belongings.

    “Beautiful resort. Poor service”

    Front desk personnel cannot communicate. Restaurants service poor. No one there to give you much service especially in buffets for drinks. Pool bar ran out of beer on a Friday afternoon. Sushi restaurant is a complete joke. Tried to eat there twice with reservations. 15 tables 1 waiter. First time we left. Came back second nite. And took forever to take order for 6 with only 3 other tables in there. Did not receive all our food ordered and waiter did not know the types of sushi he was even serving us we just left. Probably not his fault cause the resort should have had more than 1 waiter Hard to ger reservations with only 2 restaurants but we always saw empty tables. Lot of the food everywhere tasted the same. 3 of us did get sick during stay there Will stay in Cabo San Lucas next time Rooms good. Not real cool.
