“Not for adults- no peace and quiet allowed”

This hotel has so much potential, it is a shame that there are so many negatives in the running and organisation that weigh against the positives. The grand reception building gave us a great impression and we caught the beautiful view of the beach from the hotel. But unfortunately it was mostly downhill from there. The staff were awful, frequently bordering on incompetent. Despite a lengthy check in, they failed to provide us with the wristbands to designate 'half board' or explain even the simplest details about the workings of the hotel which meant we were still mystified and figuring things out on our last night a week later. They also did not show us to our room or help us with our bags but instead vaguely pointed out a place on a map and left us to find it. The pools would be a positive but they were completely overtaken by children at all times despite there being a designated "kids pool" by each pool and the upstairs pool being labelled on signs as "adult pool". The downstairs pool was completely given over to the children and consistently contained a good 25/30 children dive bombing, screaming and splashing so there was no physical space to swim even if you were able to cope with being splashed and or screamed at.There was no lifeguard down there so no rules were enforced at all. The top pool however, did have a lifeguard, handy so she could enforce the fact it was an"adult only" pool. Except, she did not. Instead she turned a blind eye to the multiple kids in there at any time. She did however manage to harrass any adults daring to enjoy a drink near the edge or using inflatables (the children were allowed to use inflatables as apparently no rules applied to them). After 24 hours of staff asking "all inclusive?" at every meal/drink order and then staring at us blankly when we said "no- half board" we went up to reception to complain that staff didn't seem to understand the systems in place and it turned out we should have been given wristbands on entry. Even after having the wrist bands staff seemed confused by the concept of half board and unsure of what it included. Staff at the desk were similarly incompetent, in addition to screwing up our check in, they refused a simple request to confirm our taxi booking for the taxi to the airport so that we didn't miss our flight. Our room location was possibly the worst part, situated in the back alley where lorries backed in loudly or staff sat having a fag break and chatting loudly outside. We were also behind the entertainment stage. Given that the entertainment was appalling and (surprise surprise) aimed solely at children, we chose not to watch it but nethertheless were subjected by extremely loud music and shouting on the mic until after midnight each night. The positives about the hotel are- the food is really good, the beach is lovely and is literally on the doorstep and the pools would be lovely if there were a chance to swim in them for 10 minutes without constant screaming and dive bombing in your face. The beach is lovely (though do be aware of the jellyfish- I was stung on my first day) but if you're looking for a nice, peaceful break with your adult friend or significant other then it might be worth looking at the adults only hotel across the bay....

Could have had better customer service in the restaurant. But other than that the entertainment, pool area and beach was great for kids. I would recommend on those points alone. Great family rooms and the hotel is clean.

“Costa del Lord of the Flies”

Don't go here under any circumstances in summer, unless you are a child under 14. Or are bringing a child under 14. Yes, kids rule this hotel - all four pools and two levels of it. There are three designated children's pools, and yet all day, every day there were approximately 10-20 children cannonballing, splash-kicking, and throwing face masks and goggles across the ONE ADULTS ONLY POOL. This pool is in no way suitable for children, as it's an infinity pool with sharp granite edges and lots of surfaces to slip and crack your head on - but instead of enforcing this one tiny piece of adults-only territory, they employ a nervy female lifeguard who stands at the edge whistling and pointing to anyone who goes near the edge. Hilariously, while kids could do whatever they want (kick and splash adults trying to swim lengths, divebomb in, chuck heavy face-masks across it), we adults were fully policed, and were told we could not float on our inflatable ring. We wouldn't have minded, but there were no other bloody rules so it seemed a bit much. The restaurant has some good buffet food (lots of it authentic Spanish) but is overrun with kids in the summer months, even as late as 10.30pm. There isn't much of a system so they pretty much run wild. Only around 10% of the guests appeared to be childless adults, so they simply aren't catered to - anything we had a problem with, staff just shrugged off. Furthermore, anything we asked staff for - to call ahead and confirm our airport transfer, for example - hardly any of them spoke enough English to understand, and if they did, they just shrugged and said 'We cannot'. There is no going above and beyond at this hotel. They did not show us to our room or offer to help with cases on arrival. On more than one occasion our room was not cleaned despite our being out all day. The bar staff didn't know how to make 60% of the drinks on their list and would just sulkily point at the other bar on the lower/upper level and say 'That's only *that* bar'. My sister was stung by a jellyfish in the water just at the end of the resort's rocks, and there were no signs or flags to warn us. Our room was down by the delivery entrance, so we got the lorries clunking up and down, and restaurant staff having a noisy fag break below our balcony. Not very private. It was also behind the entertainment stage, which had raucous music and one night, relentless drumming, until 11pm. So no escaping from kiddieville, either. It's such a shame - if you take all of the people (guests and staff) out of this hotel, it is lovely to look at - landscaped cacti and bougainvillea, palms, architectural design. But there are no rules and no organisation in place to make it pleasant for everyone, not just young families. It seems like such a waste to let it turn into kiddie chaos in every single area. To not be able to even get in to the main pool, let alone swim halfway across it, seems a bit rubbish when you've paid £500+ each a week. The only saving grace is the a la carte restaurant and bar, which is very calm and overlooks the beach - but of course you have to pay extra for it.

    “Pěkné místo na dovolenou”

Velmi pěkný hotel v krásné lokalitě, moc pěkný výhled a hezká zátoka. Příjemný pobyt.Hotel čistý a příjemný. Dobré jídlo. Bez auta se dalekko nedostanete. Můsíte spoléhat na taxíky nebo autobus. Obsluha nic moc, trochu bych zlepšila kvalitu. Recepce řeší pouze nějaké základní věci. Byla nám odcizená kamera přímo u dolního bazénu. Bohužel se již nenašla. Myslím, že chybí v dolní části kamery a ochranka. Určitě by to přispělo k větsímu bezpečí. Hlavně kluci věk 8 let si to moc užili. Výhled z okna moc pěkný....
