Chez Lumière has become the new place to be in Sancti Petri. Located at the Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri and featured in the Repsol Guide 2026, this new dining concept is inspired by French brasseries and developed with the guidance of chef Juanlu Fernández, holder of two Michelin stars and two Repsol Suns.
In addition to its privileged location next to the extensive La Barrosa beach, Chez Lumière stands out for its carefully designed architecture and interior design. A project by architect and interior designer Jean Porsche that evokes both the charming cafés of Saint-Germain and the typical courtyards of Cádiz.
Chez Lumière combines flavour, outstanding produce and slow cooking. It brings together the finest local ingredients at the table and carries out thorough research into the origin and seasonality of each product. This approach results in a menu that creatively fuses nouvelle cuisine with traditional Cádiz recipes. The exceptional quality of the ingredients is the reason why the restaurant has been included in the Repsol Guide 2026.
A 360° gastronomic experience accompanied by a carefully curated selection of local, national and international wines designed to highlight the personality of each dish created by Juanlu Fernández exclusively for Chez Lumière.

Chef
Born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1984, Juanlu Fernández began working at the age of 13 in a bakery with his uncle in San José del Valle (Cádiz), getting in touch for the first time with the ingredients that would lay the path for his training. His interest in cooking and his desire to learn led him to become a disciple of Martin Berasategui years later, working side by side side until he took over Aponiente as head chef.
At 33, seeking to materialise his personality and creativity without limits, he decided to explore the possibilities of his cuisine and opened LÚ. Less than a year later, he was awarded his first Michelin Star. Since 2022, Fernández has been head chef at Chez Lumière.
