Inspirational Chef Program
Since its inception in 2018, this programme has sought to bring the best of European fine dining to Tenerife and fuse it with homegrown products from the island. For several days, the hotel becomes the creative home of well-known chefs who cook alongside the resort’s resident chefs to offer a special dining experience.
9th Edition, 6 and 7 November 2022
On 6 and 7 November 2022, the Padrón brothers and Álvaro Salazar, chef at the VORO restaurant in Mallorca, awarded two Michelin stars, will be hosting this unique gastronomic event.
On this occasion, it will be the chef Álvaro Salazar from Jaén, holder of two Michelin stars, who will visit the hotel restaurant, El Rincón de Juan Carlos, awarded one Michelin star, to cook alongside the Padrón brothers. Over the two days, Salazar will transform his culinary philosophy into a menu based on flavour and balance, using the finest local and international produce – one of the hallmarks of the restaurant – and producing an assortment of dishes cooked by the three chefs.
The renowned chef from the VORO restaurant in Mallorca defines his cuisine as "free and untethered, committed to his surroundings and his roots". Through his dishes, he reinvents the classic recipe book by using ingredients from his local area, but without placing strict geographical limits on other products.
This new edition of the Inspirational Chef Program Tenerife 2022 enjoys the support of various partners such as Heineken, main sponsor; Taittinger Champagne, official champagne of the event; and Aquanaria, sustainable sea bass brand farmed in the waters around the Canary Islands.
